## Description

The Tyon features the X-Celerator, a single-axis analog thumb paddle pioneered for modern battlefields. It gives you unrivaled command capabilities without sacrificing control. You can use it to seamlessly tilt left and right, pitch up and down, increase and decrease throttle and much more, all while maintaining perfect mouse control. ROCCAT's breakthrough Easy-Shift[+] technology lets you assign a secondary function to each button on the mouse, for a near endless number of attack possibilities. The secondary function can be activated once the Easy-Shift[+] button is held down. On the Tyon, this is a dedicated button conveniently located beneath the traditional side buttons.

Review: I have found my Fit - I was looking for a mouse that was more of a palm grip and had 4 large easy/large enough to find buttons. This it seams is hard to find. The last few mice have been Razer Hex (claw grip and button placement/feel was hard to tell what button i was hitting or how many at the same time), Logitech G502 Proteus Core (Good mouse, ok button layout, one of the few that have side to side wheel buttons), and the Madcatz MMO7 (Nice button layout, must be built for claw grip every time I used it the front came off the mouse pad like a drag car. I tried all the weights and all the adjustable positions just not a good fit for me). Enter Roccat Tyon. I did not want to pay this much for another mouse that may not fit right but the reviews on different sites cough you tube made me look at it. I mainly MMO the button layout is great. the buttons on the top are easy to get to and to tell the difference between them, I didnt think I would use them but I do and its easy to get used to. the buttons on the side are great no mix ups you know which button you hit. The thumb paddle is awesome, I know its set up for fight sim etc but you can assign it to regular buttons. Put your most used commands on it. There is also a bottom thumb button that is out of the way and easy to get to my Ocrap button. Size its bigger than the Proteus Core and the Razer Hex it is a palm grip. I wear a large glove and fits my had perfect. It has a bunch of settings and lots of light settings. Build quality is good and the weight in the hand is good. It felt like a glove, you know where the buttons are and are not searching or wondering what you hit. Only thing I can knock it for (not really neg tho) is the "fin" above the mouse wheel. Its not a neg I just dont see what I can use it for. I forget its even there and its not in the way, plus you can lock it out if need be. I am sure some can use it. The software had a bit of a learning curve but once you use it and learn the sys its easy. I do not have to search any more. ## Edit I tried to use the top "fin" and now i use it all the time. For MMO i use it to loot and take all. It works very well. Great Mouse
Review: Great product, minor QoL issues - I haven't had this product very long, but so far, it's really proven worth the purchase. I initially bought this for the extra buttons, as I usually have a difficult time with my keyboard finding a comfortable position and the right amount of keys. I went in thinking it only had about 4-6 extra keys I could bind, but after messing around with the settings, I realized there were many more than I had initially anticipated. Pros: -Sensitivity. Coming out of the package, the response seemed almost a bit too fast for me. However, after messing around with it a bit, I've gotten comfortable with the speed, but there's still room to go higher. -Customizability. The settings give you a very wide range of colors to work with, as well as 5 different profiles you can set to switch between, depending on what tasks you're using it with. DPS adjustment can be bound to a key or set permanently through the profiles, and the mouse will automatically remember each macro setting when switching to a new computer. If you want to adjust the settings, however, you'll need to download and install the program on that computer as well. -Size. I would say I have an average-sized hand for an adult male, but this mouse seems to fit pretty well overall. If anything, it seems a little small for me, as I do have to scrunch up a little bit to reach all the keys. This one seems to be more of a per-person detail, though, so take this particular note with a grain of salt. Cons: -Also Sensitivity. Only problem here is that it has to be on a nearly completely flat surface to work. Anything with ridges or bumps is going to render the sensor nearly useless. This is first and foremost a desktop mouse, so be aware that if you want to use this with a laptop, make sure you've got a flat surface wherever you go. -Clarity. The package did not come with a full set of directions, much to my dismay. I did have to look up how to customize it online. After a few minutes of searching, I did find that you have to A) Download and install the driver from Roccat's website [http://www.roccat.org/en-US/Products/Gaming-Mice/Tyon/], and B) Do this for each computer if you intend to change settings on each one. -Profile Switching. You do need to create a macro if you want to easily switch between profiles. For myself, who mainly transfers between desktop functions and gaming commands, I need to constantly switch between them. There's no button that is automatically set to toggle profiles, so you'll need to set this manually. This may or may not be a personal issue with my device, but I've discovered the need to have the settings window open while switching profiles as well. All in all, despite its shortcomings, I've been very satisfied with this device. Definitely considering purchasing another one for my other computers.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this the same size as the Kone Pure?**
A: I don't have the TYON nor the KONE PURE. But...KONE PUREMax. width 7cm x approx. 12cm max. lengthApprox. 90g (excl. cable)TYONMax. length 13.5cm x approx. 7.8cm max. width. 4cm high.Approx. 126g (excl. cable) Google is your friend.

**Q: Can we change the colours of the lights to any colour we want???**
A: For the most part, yes. The only color I haven't found out how to change so far, is the color it switches to when pressing the "easy-shift" modifier. Seems it turns light blue while holding the button down, and then changes back to your custom color scheme when you release it.

**Q: Where is this mouse manufactured? (Made In...?)**
A: china

**Q: Is it possible to change the color of the lights when the easy shift button is held? For all of my profiles, it defaults to blue.**
A: I have tried to also but it has been only blue for me!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great mouse. Terrible drivers.
*by R***Y on January 18, 2018*

Great mouse. Superb build quality and functionality. Drivers need some serious work. I love everything about this mouse other than the drivers. On Windows 10 I'm experiencing some problems. After updating the drivers and downloading Roaccat's software, I was still unable to control the lights on the mouse. They were stuck cycling through all the colors, which wasn't a huge deal, it looked kind of cool, but I don't want that all the time. After reading around online I found a workaround that seems to do the trick. Pretty much just set all of the Roccat software to run as Administrator. This has allowed me to control the lights through the app, but it is still slow to update when I change settings. However, I bought this mouse for gaming, not to look at it. So that's really only a minor issue that seems to be pretty easily solved. For gaming, this thing feels great. It had plenty of extra buttons but none of them are in the way or obtrusive. It feels like a normal 2 button mouse unless you want to use the other features.
