Good product works well on outdoor furniture
I bought golden brown for use on my softwood patio furniture. I didn't want a preservative that just coated or sat on the wood I wanted it to be absorbed into the grain, which this does. It's a nice rich colour that enhances the grain of the wood. You can almost hear the wood sighing as its absorbed. The presevative dries fairly quickly so it's possible to get 2 coats on in the same day. The preservative has a thin consistency so it's best to just putt a small quantitly into a paint bucket to reduce the temptation of overloading your brush and to help avoid any splashes - just wet the bottom couple of centimetres of the bristles. Any splashes need to be removed using white spirit. The product works very well and rain water just pools on top of the treated woodwork. Fully reccomend.

Easy and Economical
New shed 5ft x 7ft, two coats one day apart on not a very nice day. Dried perfectly no change to original colour lovely waterproof finish. Shook it up well put small amount in open container and used a 3 inch brush. Started at top and worked down, no need to put loads on soaks in immediately and covers brilliantly.I did use a mask as there is some vapour from the liquid but no where as bad as some reviews state. Does not stain surrounding area if you have any drips, just wiped with dry cloth, used cardboard to cover ground but no need really if you don't go mad.Best wood preservative have ever used for coverage , ease of use, and being economical. Would purchase again without a doubt no looking for anything better because I don't think you would find anything.Gave shed two coats outside and door inside and out, enough leftover to do the same again, used less than half of the contents really amazing, you will not be disappointed.I do not usually go to this length with reviews this is a one off even uploaded a picture to show finished product. This is with two coats and the colour is exactly as if you had left it without using preservative, unbelievable but true, give it a go you wont be sorry.

Pricey but very good and I love this colour
Ok, this is quite pricey but it does do a good job. I use it on my shed (smooth wood) and fences (rough wood) and it covers well and I love this colour. I apply using brushes and it is quite easy to apply but is runny and sticky so I always wear nitrile gloves when applying.

A-Chem "Timbashield" High Quality Wood Stain that protects and lasts.
Very Satisfied Returning Customer - My 3rd lot of "Timbashield Solvent Based Wood Stain - Mahogany". Fantastic Product. Applies well and looks great. Used it on my Summer House, Bike Shed, Lawn Mower Shed & Decking edge border late Summer 2020. This was it's 2nd lot of two coats as all 3 buildings came pre stained (sprayed) with this product when installed in my garden October 2016 bought from Parkhill Timber Products, Denby, Derbyshire.I just brought another 5 litres of Timbashield Mahogany from A-Chem, so I can re-stain the decking where it has been worn down over the last 3 years. You can spray it on or just use a brush like I do. On vertical surfaces just remember not to put too much on the brush and start from the top and work your way down. The product penetrates the wood well and dries quite quickly. All my 3 buildings are almost 5 years old and with this Product still look Brand New.I have attached a photo where I also used Timbashield Solvent Wood Stain - Mahogany on a hard wood chair rocker and garden bench. Both came up better than I expected then finished them off a week later with a coat of teak Oil.I totally recommend Timbashield Solvent Based Wood Stain - Mahogany if you want a great finish that protects the wood and lasts ages and does not peel.In the past I have also bought "Timbashield Wood Stain - Light Oak" and that gives a brilliant finish too, but it can give a darker result on new pine wood, but I have this nailed down now with some mixing/dilution of the Light Oak.On application it does smell, but over a short time this goes away. Very water repellent. Our neighbours always remark how great our buildings and decking look, even after a long hard winter.First class delivery service from A-Chem. Now my one stop shop for all my Timbashield Wood Staining and Protection needs. Mahogany is my Favourite and I just love it's warm golden look.Thank You all at A-Chem.Kind Regards, DaveG, Telford, Shropshire

Easy to apply.
So easy to apply and I’m almost 80. So pleased with the garden house and gate I have just done I immediately ordered more to do the entire fencing in my garden. It looks so much better, I am delighted. Being clear even the drips don’t make a mess, however do start from the top and work downwards as it is almost like water when applying.

Applies easily
Applying with a brush is easy. Fairly thin and runs easily but you soon get used to applying it. Colour looks ok. Definitely needed two coats as first coat really soaked in. Dries quickly .
