Is there much difference between youth and adult size?

Hi, Thanks for checking out an item we offer within our Amazon store. Yes there is a significant difference between the youth size and the adult size. Shock Doctor actually makes a cup in a teen size which is a size between the youth and adult and is blue in color. Would an xs work for an 8 year old ?

My sons have the blue cups, but their sliding shorts don't have a big enough cup pocket. What sliding shorts brands can fit the blue cup?

Do the colors of the cups correspond to the size? My son has a red one and I want to get the next size up.

Perfect fit for a junior youth - my Son is 9 years old - because it is slimline and not a massive triangular wedge. Soft moulded edges that are spongy to touch and with ventilation holes too.

When your 8 year old breaks his cup at ice hockey, you can only shake your head and look for a solid replacement. This one is much stronger that the last and my son says it is comfortable.
