The HSC-50 hardline coring and stripping tool is designed to core and strip 1/2" diameter Times Fiber T10 and Commscope P3 and other similar cables. The HSC-50 hardline coring and stripping tool performs both coring and stripping all in one tool. The stripper can be easily removed to help deal with flooded cables. In addition, the T handle is a ratcheting handle to help make the coring process faster. The T handle can be removed allowing the user to attach a drill to make coring even easier. The tool bevels the outer conductor, chamfers the center conductor, and opens to a center conductor length of 1”. The total core and strip length is 3. 50”. The tool comes with Allen keys for replacing stripping blades and removing the T handle. The coring bit, coring blade, and jacket stripping blade are made from hardened steel for long life. The best
This is the best prep tool I have ever used. It works with flooded cable too, you just need to lube the tool with wd40 every so often.

Great tool even on underground.
This is a great coring tool. They undersell themselves. They say not for underground. I disagree. I’ve used exclusively on underground both TFC and Comscope jacketed flooded. I do quick clean end of each day the a full take a part and clean every two weeks. I’ve been using it in a full production averaging 13 to 20 devices a day. No signs of wear. I picked up the .875 as well it’s just as good. I can’t believe I hadn’t used the coring stripping combo before. Literally shaves 3 to 5 min per device. I’ve used almost every coring tool. This is my favorite now. I have the ripley as well it never sees the light of day anymore. The Ripley doesn’t have a center conductor stop for a perfect length every time nor does it have the center conductor oreper. Great tool.

Great tool.
Love this thing. Was always a cablematic guy until a year into working in a system that only uses flooded cable. Set your drill on 2, bump a few times at speed to be sure it’s not snatching the stinger, and let it eat. Don’t push it at all or the beveler will snap the stinger. Cores perfect length stinger for ppc and Gilbert 3 piece connectors straight out of the box!

Faulty tool
Blade will grab center conductor almost every time you use it. Cable must be perfectly round to use this tool. Less than 20 usages coring 500P3 cable the blade snapped off, and every site shows them on back order? Poor design, poor supply, not what I expected from Jonard....
