The spikes can be used with established trees, newly planted trees and newly transplanted trees. For palms with a circumference of 18 inches, use 2 spikes. 24 inches, use 4 spikes. 36 inches, use 6 spikes. 48 inches, use 8 spikes. 54 inches, use 10 spikes.

The five stakes were well packed in a heavy sealed poly bag.  this was in a mailing box and the 2 boxes I purchased was in a plastic mailing envelope.  Good instructions and very sturdy.  Was able to pound them deep into the ground once a pilot hole was made.  Time will tell if they work as advertised.
