This is a very well designed and sturdy mount. It's versatile and easy to install and works perfectly and saves space and looks great too. It has a great range of movement and tilt angle and adjustability, that will work almost anywhere. They arrived on time, well packaged and protected. The quality and craftsmanship is amazing for the price. I'm very happy with it and I'd recommend this highly.

Excuse me for the not-so-pretty surrounding. Overall, the mount works great for my need to hang the tv up to the ceiling in my new basement home gym during covid time. It is very sturdy, has some flexible angles (tilting at the top and/ or rotating at the bottom but please do not do both, it will be a weird disaligned angle), but the pain is in installation, and I think I am quite handy (we set up the treadmill, the table tennis table, and tons of furniture in the house). On the bright side, it could be a one-man job but it will be hard. I am 5’4”, Asian female but I was able to carry a 50” tv up by myself. Really, the only thing that I really dislike is the poor instruction, which is in 4 basic steps. It could have been easier had I not gone for the “used - good condition” which (1) should have been offered at a much lower discount due to missing pieces and missing labels because whoever returned it mixed up several screws/ washers, bolts etc. together, making my installation much of a guessing game, and (2) the price is now $2 cheaper on used than what I paid for - I paid closer to brand new price but I don’t want to return in this snowy weather and wait 2 more days. Thankfully because the kit was enough for multiple options, such as cement drilling vs. wood drilling, and three types of TVs, and the warehouse worker also tossed in some random parts (but not enough), I had to play around with creativity and managed to set it up but if we look closer, some bolts and washers are mismatched or do not fit all in. Other than that, it totally changes the quality of our workout by having the TV right in front of us. My basement ceiling is super low, so I took out the middle joint of the mount, using only two, and in the picture is the highest the TV could possibly hang under the ceiling, but it could definitely go much much lower for higher ceilings. Any future tilting needs some losening and tightening by the tools and not by hand, so make sure the tools are around and definitely not mixed up with other diy tools. I put the extra bolts and screws inside of the middle arm and store it with the instruction, in case I ever need to set it up again. I like the idea of giving the product another life but it was not a good balance between cost (time) and benefit (a few bucks). If you buy new, you probably would just love it.

So I wasn't sure about buying a ceiling mount but for my purposes I needed one. It was the only option to have my TV installed in the area I wanted it. the product came in and it actually has very strong materials and I would definitely have all the confidence in the world if I was installing a very large screen TV. There's an additional bars to extend from the ceiling to a lower point, depending on how tall your ceiling is. The hardware included is for every TV application and the components that make the swivel motions are very strong and well made. so I am so thrilled to have a product this good at the price that I got it that I had to take the time to make a review. The only reason I gave it four stars in range of motion was because it swivels the way I think it was intended and designed but at the very end where the TV attached, if it had 360 range of motion, I would have been able to not only hang it from the ceiling but push it up and out of the way for storage and that would have made it just amazing. but even though it doesn't do that, it does exactly what it's purpose is and I'm still very pleased with the product but if the company that designs this made reads these reviews, then the purposes is to get that suggestion to them. It would be truly universal for your TV to have more of a 360 range of motion then it would just be out of this world. So happy.

Long time Amazon customer and first time review...this is an incredible value IF you need to mount a sizeable screen from a ceiling mount. First off - this mount is super heavy duty. I have no doubt it could hold a 65" flat screen. For my purposes, I used this ultimately to mount a 32" TCL monitor from a ceiling joist in my dedicated drum room in my basement. My plan was to use the monitor for Youtube practice sessions behind my drum kit and I have a small room and wanted to keep floor clutter to an absolute minimum including power cords etc. The instructions were very simple and assembly could not be more easy. HOWEVER, I originally planned to use this celing mount with a 24" spare PC monitor I had kicking around and could not use it due to the large VESA mounting plate that comes with this mount...the mounting plate interfered with the AC power cord plug in the back of the 24" monitor. I ultimately ended up buying a TCL 32" 1080P monitor which this stand accommodated perfectly. Just beware that for some pc monitors, the mounting plate that comes with this kit may interfere with your AC power connection. This mount seems prioritized to fit TELEVISIONS and not necessarily MONITORS. For $30 this mount CANNOT BE BEAT if you need to mount from a ceiling! Instructions are easy to follow and have no fear of hanging a big television from this mount.

First off, this thing is far sturdier and better made than I expected it to be. It exceeded my expectations in every way. The project was a bit sideways of the typical use case for this TV mount, although I did not have to modify it. My home gym in the basement has a large wall mounted TV on one end. I also have a couple of couches for watching games and UFC that were close to the TV before the quarantine. When the quarantine hit, the couches got pushed to the other end of the home gym to make room for viewing Zoom classes and allow more space for the adults and kids to workout together. We needed a TV mounted in the middle of the ceiling that could get stowed away to allow both easy viewing from the couches and overhead space when we used the area for family workouts. It would also be helpful if the TV could rotate to cover a corner dedicated to weight equipment for zoom meetings with my wife’s weight coach. I say need, but it’s definitely a low priority nice-to-have that quarantine time off made possible. I got all the electronics aligned, but needed a ceiling mount that could rotate a TV 360 degrees and either be easily detached or ideally folded up to the ceiling. After researching my options, I found this amazingly well built ceiling mount. When I received it, I was immediately impressed with its construction and quality. It exceeded my every expectation. In fact, I expected that I would have to modify it to make it work. I didn’t have to change it at all, outside of its existing capabilities. I removed the bolt that prevented it from folding flat and from moving (it’s designed to hang at an angle or lock in flat with a tightening bolt to hold it in position). I wanted it to be freely moving. I put the bolt back into the channel outside of the pipe to prevent the pipe from “over extending” (so it can fold flat to the ceiling, and drop down and stop at 90 degrees). I added the lightest 32” Smart TV screen I could find, and a pneumatic closer attached to the ceiling and screwed into one of the height adjustment holes. I also added a clamp to hold the TV in position for storing up to the ceiling. I don’t consider the closer or the clamp as modifying the mount itself. This mount wasn’t specifically designed to be used this way, but it was almost like it was built for this. We can now pull the TV down from the ceiling, release the clamp, and spin it around for couch viewing of a game or to keep kids entertained while we work out. We can spin the TV to project zoom meetings from a phone, or watch YouTube or other workouts on the smart TV from the weights area. If we are doing a family workout and need all the space, we can lock on the clamp and tuck this TV back up to the ceiling. As an added bonus, if you get a zoom meeting going on not TVs when this one is folded up, you have visibility on the wall and ceiling. There are some adjustments I still want to make, such as some way for short people to get the TV off the ceiling, and a smoother/tighter drop movement that the pneumatic closer can’t provide. It wants to be folded, so you have to set a stopper to keep it down. I have imagined a cable/winch or actuator setup of some kind maybe tied into the smart house features and controlled from the phone... Not enough quarantine time to get that in place! Otherwise, this was a fun quarantine project that worked out exactly as I envisioned. :-) Love it!

Easy to install and fits the TV nice.

Very pleased with this, our TV is the maximum limit of sized and weight (exceeding it slightly) this was designed for and it performs magnificently. We've now had it for 2 years.
