Super Zoom For Kinect XBOX 360

I bought this on the basis of the reviews which are accurate, unfortunately for me it does not work, this is not a fault of the unit though. After a lot of messing about it looks like where I have my Kinect mounted is too high for the unit, Just over 4 feet off the ground. This is not something I can change as the TV is above the fire place and the sensor sits on the mantelpiece. I tried with it on a table to the side and it would setup ok then. The problem on the mantelpiece is it keeps telling me it cannot see the floor. This is only just over 3 feet from the floor and the specs say a Max of 4.5 feet?If you are considering one of these check the height you need to have your Kinect at, Normal TV stands will be fine but if like me you have your TV on the wall check first.So my only gripe is it does not work at the height stated in the specs.The item itself works fine, and once I discovered the height issue setup is quite easy.

I have a small play area that makes playing a Kinect game a definite no, so I thought I would try this product. It allows me to play the majority of Kinect based titles (not full body ones, I will explain why soon) rather well...It does this by using a fish lens effect to draw in more of the room to the Kinect's camera, this is where the problem occurs.The Kinect lenses are blocked by the plastic that holds the magnification lenses, restricting what it can pick up which partially counter acts what it is trying to achieve!The product should be made with a little more thought but who am I to critique? I am now able to use the Kinect to play a number of games that I couldn't have done before when really, I only have the Kinect because it came free when I upgraded to the new model...Will do what you want it to do, just don't expect perfection.

Great bit of kit. It saves him destroying all of the nearby furniture in his smaller games room when he is playing 'active' Games. Now he can use it close up with no fear of crashing, smashing, bashing, crunching, thumping or bumping any items nearby. East to fit, just seconds and you are up and running. Bit pricey for a piece of Plastic with a couple of lenses in.. but I suppose that's the games market for you...aim it at the kids so that mum and dad have to pay...But otherwise, yeh good investment and saves on furniture and insurance claims.... I bought one of these as I received Kinect as a present, but only have a small playing area for it.Like others, I was sceptical as to whether it would work or not, but it does!It clips easily onto the Kinect sensor, then all you need to do is recalibrate the sensor in the settings and you're good to go. Simple!It doesn't affect sensor detection at all, character movements on screen are virtually unaffected and you can play as normal.Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants Kinect but doesn't think they have the space!

It appears to work well, 2 kids can play on the kinect together in our small lounge no trouble..Didn't try the Kinect without the super zoom though so haven't compared. It seems to do what its meant to do though, quite happy.

Reading reviews of the Kinect alerted me to the need of this clever little device as like many people we're not lucky enough to have a large, perfectly shaped room. Because we're working exactly on the distance limit of needing /not needing, we found it best to set Kinect up without the Super Zoom and then use it afterwards. Quite simply, it works and hardly shows. I have no hesitation in recommending it.

So glad I bought the zoom for my nephew as he would not have been able to play with his kinect without it.. He plays in his bedroom which is quite small and only for the zoom on Xmas morning he would not have been playing at all..

I honestly can't believe so many people are giving this "Cheap and Nasty rip off" 5 stars! I fitted mine last night and so far nothing works with it.At first I thought I was maybe doing something wrong but after trying repeatedly to get it working I've decided that the "Super Zoom For Kinect" is a piece of cheap rubbish! It definitely isn't "Super" that's for sure! If I could have gave it 0 stars I would have. Avoid this like the plague!
