I was a little apprehensive about buying this after finding out about other products that looked way easier to setup like the sportbrella. With a beach day coming up we just decided to roll with it. First off, let me say that it was annoying when I first got it that the only "instructions" in this packet was a notice to go to the amazon listing to get the instructions. It wasn't until I was here reading through the reviews after purchasing that somebody had mentioned the instructions are sewn to the inside of the bag (thanks whoever that was). Aside from that on my first time setting up it up, it took maybe around 10 min. Filling up the sand bags maybe another 5. I think it only took that long because I was doing it solo since the wife was handing the kid during setup. I would think it would go much smoother next time. Saying that, there are only 7 steps. I would suggest to not fill up the sand bags until you have the tent into the desired position as well. Tear down was similarly easy. I decided to dump the sandbags before taking out the polls which probably made it harder since I now had to contend with the wind. The poles also detached while I was pulling them out which made it a little more difficult. When removing the longer pole after that incident, I figured out it was much easier to remove the pole if I did it slowly to avoid detaching, as well as sliding back the sleeve. Second pole and third pole made it out nearly intact. Total tear down time was maybe 8 minutes total. Surprisingly I was able to get everything folded up nicely again. If you treat it like a traditional tent (fold it in half, put the polls in the center, fold over the sides and roll) it makes it dead easy. I really did enjoy this product and can't wait to use it again.

I have a particular like of these kinds of shade structures - durable, , lite, easy to carry (comes with a bag), quick to set up (with some logic, and the directions are sewn into the bag). I've had a number of these "wedge" shade structures and either they skimp on the quality (shame on you Coleman), or the mechanism for "quick set up" falls apart easily, or they're just too heavy. This one is just right--all around. It even has the best tarp flooring I've experienced, and the added bonus of pulling up the front flap for privacy. Ya can't beat the price, either. Therefore, I'm gonna buy a second to keep for the future. You've got my vote D1S - thank you for making a quality product!

Sand spikes work but a little flimsy. Other then that the tent is pretty good value. The bag that the tent goes in is a little small

Took this to the beach and it was perfect! I love being on the sand but that heat is something else. This allowed me to hang out much longer than I would have without shade. It’s easy to put together. We had to get a bit creative to keep it down because of the wind. We were lazy and just put sticks down instead of using sand. Next time we’ll do better. My only complaint (and it’s hardly a complaint) but it was hard to get it back in the bag once we were done. That’s all. Good purchase overall.

Already replaced in 6 months due to fiberglass shattering.

Wow! Excellent quality! I don’t even know how they can sell it at this price! Very big and well made. Could even be used as a tent. You will definitely be the envy at the beach. The only negative would be the stakes are not the best but I purchased better stakes at Dicks for $1.75.

This tent was absolutely horrible. I spent roughly 30 mins with my father AND my sister to set this up.. and it did not work. It kept falling apart and the wind kept blowing it. I may have just gotten a defective one, but it was such an absolute mess. Would never buy this again!

Really impressed by this product especially for the price! It had enough room for me, my wife , and toddler to sit in with plenty of room for one more person. It also blocks out the sun really well unlike some tents. Its pretty easy to put together also and I would know since I had to fight the wind at the beach with this. Highly recommend this product!
