I Hope You Never Need This. If You Do, Buy This One.
I hope you never need this, truly. If you do, buy this one. It worked really well. If you put books in it, take them out when they are done and DO NOT OPEN them for a few days. Give them time to completely cool and for the binding glue to harden up again. Lay them flat while they are cooling. If you do this, they will be fine. If you open the book before it is fully cooled, you will break the binding. Put in a book that you don't extra care about first and you will see. Do not put anything in them that can melt. If you wouldn't put it in the clothes dryer or dishwasher, it shouldn't go in here. Great for clothing, stuffed animals, wooden items, etc. Be careful when you load it. The items in it will soften while heating. I put a basket of stuffed animals in it. The basket came out misshapen because gravity acted on the wicker while it was soft. It definitely kills bugs and I would call it easy to use. I found it a good value for the money even though it was pretty expensive. I would have had to throw a lot of items out if I had not been able to heat treat them with this. We called it the Hotbox lol

Outstanding product, highly recommended
This product works exactly as described. It has a large capacity and the heat is contained so that it does not heat up the room. It is easy to assemble- my teenage son set it up. It is also very straightforward to use. I appreciate the peace of mind that it provides. Also, I messaged the seller with a question regarding the warranty and LESS THAN 2 HOURS LATER, I received a response from the Operations Director! Not only did he answer my question, he provided his cellphone contact so that I could contact him directly if I had any more questions!! I really appreciate his passion for the product and willingness to stand behind it. I can’t recommend this product enough - especially if you have a short term rental, or if you travel frequently. It really should be in every hotel! Thanks again for making such an incredible product!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND - EASY TO USE & EFFECTIVE!
Very easy to use & powerful in my goal to remove clothing moths & larvae. I was very relieved to find something easy to use, effective & kept its advertised promised. The clothes “oven” is sized large enough to handle a large load vertically without taking up a large geographical footprint on the floor. I found it really great to work with for my needs. I was initially greatly overwhelmed but this Thermastrike Ranger was very helpful in aiding me to dig myself out of a most challenging clothing moths circumstance. I highly recommend this unit.

Amazing product
Well I’m giving this bad boy five stars—first of all, I didn’t even know this existed. We ran into an issue and even though I checked first, saw no signs, we woke up to bedbugs on our vacation at an overnight stay. Needless to say I was completely panicked and just kept reading about high heat kills and what stages of life blah blah blah. So this thing was a game changer for me. You can throw all your clothes in it, your suitcases—whatever it may be that that you want to treat (pay attention to directions regarding electronics and other items that melt)—stick the thermometer in there and rest assured the items have been treated. It is made of quality material, heats up as stated and works well. I didn’t see any bed bugs, but that may be because I didn’t bring any home—but there was another poor beetle that didn’t have good luck in the Ranger. Wish it came with a carrying case!

If you’re looking, buy this now!
Whether you are dealing with bed bugs or want to make sure you never do, this is essential. I roast luggage every time I return from a trip. It takes about 1 minute to setup and I leave it on for 8 hours to ensure it penetrates deep into the suitcase (be sure to remove meltable toiletries!). Honestly, I love not unpacking immediately anyways. I can hold two carryons tightly, and I put any other luggage in a trash bag and roast it later. It rolls up to be fairly small and fit in the back of a closet. Bites can show up many days later, so it is especially important for short trips where you might not experience the bites until days after you’ve returned and unpacked your luggage. If you’re dealing with bed bugs, it is especially helpful to ensure you kill anything living in luggage, books, and other household items which would otherwise be impossible to manage. It can prevent you from throwing away household items, especially luggage during a moment of desperation- saving you hundreds or thousands of dollars. It also helped with clean linens which you don’t want to wash/dry when it isn’t necessary. Most important is the piece of mind. Once you’ve eliminated them, I promise you will want to use this every time you travel. TIPS: Just about anything can go in here except something that would melt (ie cosmetics, art supplies). •Plastic trash bags won’t melt. •Metal will conduct heat and get much hotter than 120-150F. It may melt something at these higher temperatures like nearby plastics, leather, etc. •Most electronics are safe- though it did damage a very old iPad. My laptop and surround sound system survived. •You do not need to leave extra space on the inside, just space around it as the device itself gets hot- but the outside would not hurt anyone. •It causes a slight odor to items, but that generally resolves in a few days. It seems like the odor has gotten a little worse over time, but it’s still very mild. •I accidentally put shoes through once or twice without an issue, but would be hesitant to put nice shoes through •If you’re thinking about it, just buy it!

This product is truly the best on the market
I can’t say enough good things about the Thermal Strike Heated Hamper. This is **hands down the safest and best heat-treatment hamper on the market**—the build quality, reliability, and performance are unbeatable. On top of that, the owner, **Mike Lindsey**, is truly exceptional. He has gone above and beyond for me multiple times. Even *past the warranty*, he sent me **two extra timer switch mechanisms** at no charge. He also provided **replacement heat-temperature probes twice**, completely free of cost. Customer service like that is almost unheard of. Some reviewers have mentioned that the large plastic zipper can snag on the fabric. I experienced this too, but it was an easy fix. I bought a can of **silicone lubricant** (NOT regular WD-40 or petroleum-based lubricants). Silicone lubricant is safe for plastics and vinyl, leaves a dry film, and can handle temperatures up to **400°F**—far higher than anything this hamper reaches. After spraying a light coat along the zipper teeth, the zipper glides perfectly now. This product is incredibly well-designed, safe, and backed by an owner who truly stands behind what he sells. I will absolutely be recommending the Thermal Strike Heated Hamper to my neighbors in my building, to local pest control professionals, and to anyone who needs a dependable and safe heat-treatment solution. Highly recommended!

Seems good, but...
Amongst the various BB heater options, the Ranger seemed the most well constructed and thought out. I can't speak to its effectiveness nor ease of use though. Every order of this item ended up being a used product. Normally if it looks new enough, I'd keep it but as a bed bug treatment, I'm less inclined to keep a used product. Every box was had cut tape left on, new tape sloppily put on and every product I got has signs of being used prior e.g. hair, scuffs, and stains on one. Fortunately, no pests seemed to hitchhike along, but it didn't inspire confidence in me. I was really hoping to have something easy to use I could pull out for encounters, but guess I'll have to stick with the dryer and steaming.

Works but thermometer broken
Seems to work but the thermometer that came with it doesn't work. I reached out to the company for a replacement, no response. I used my own thermometer, seems to get hot enough!
