GORILLA GRIP® Slip Resistant Rug Pads for Hardwood Floor 8x10 Cream

This rug pad works much better than our old one which was to think and didn’t stay put. This pad is great, stays in place and so far works great to keep our kitchen rug in place!

I am so happy with these rug grippers by Gorilla Grip! To ensure both the rug gripper and rug remain in place, below are a few tips, which -- by trial and error -- worked perfectly for us. I have several thick throw rugs in my various bathrooms, each with a so-called non-skid rubber-like coating on the bottom, all of which never stayed in place. I lost count of the number of times I purchased similar rug grippers to this one (but never before by Gorilla Grip) -- from Bed, Bath & Beyond, Walmart, etc. Frustratingly, NONE held the rugs or the grippers in place, i.e., not only would the rug still move, but then the (other brand) grippers would "sneak out" beyond the border of the rug and look "tacky". These rug grippers were delivered on 10/26/2024, and we put them in place that day. Today is 12/30/2024, and they have not budged even a half inch after experimenting with different options and finding a solution that worked. TIPS: 1) We cut each rug gripper in a rectangle shape to almost exactly ONE INCH from the edge all around each rug (you will need that small uncovered border near the edge of each rug not protected by the gripper pad for this solution to work). 2) We first tried professional-grade MASKING TAPE. It did not stick at all to the non-stick rug bottom and it popped right off. Then we tried ProTape's professional PAINTER'S TAPE. That also did not adhere the non-stick rug bottom, and it, too, popped right off. 3) On our third try, we added a continuous strip of GORILLA TAPE (Mini Duct Tape To-Go, 1" x 10 yd Travel Size), not their two-sided tape (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001E5ZWT4/). We placed the MIDDLE of the Gorilla Tape over the rug gripper so that one-half inch of it covered the UNCOVERED border of the rug bottom, and the other half-inch was OVER the rug gripper. 4) We are using the pet tool of a Black & Decker hand-vac to vacuum each rug on a weekly basis (if the rugs are visibly dirty and need to be washed, you likely will need to remove the Gorilla tape and rug gripper and see if the tape adheres after the rug is fully dry). One, I cannot say what the success rate would be if we did not take the extra step of using the Gorilla Tape. Two, I have never purchased woven/cotton rugs, such as those with fringed edges, so I don't know if our solution will work with them . Thus far, however, I am more than pleased that my rugs are not slipping and sliding, and that the rug grippers do not show beyond the edges of the rugs. I highly recommend this product.

I ordered 2 of these to go under the small rugs in my bathrooms. They do have a strong grip, lie flat, feel durable, and will keep my rugs in place. They were also a great price to solve a big problem. I am taking off 1 star because they both had the same issue, which is that they are slightly larger than the rugs. It was enough that they had to be trimmed since they were sticking out from under the rug. The material was thin enough to cut, but since it's a stretchy "rubber" type of material, you have to pull on it to create tension while you're cutting. You are trimming this narrow little edge that extends beyond the rug, and it was not that easy hold the tension on that small amount of material while I made the cut. It was very doable, and I would recommend these and purchase them again myself. I just wanted to put them down and be done with my rugs, but instead it required sitting on the floor and cutting them down to the right size. Not a huge deal, but not ideal.

Works perfectly. Easy to trim to size. Holds area rugs securely without adding additional height. We live in an historical house with restored plank oak floors dating back over 150 years. Our Oriental area rugs kept sliding from beneath our feet. The GORILLA GRIP pads solved the problem instantly. Advice: When you order select a 1 size bigger than your area rug. Trimming to size literally takes less than 5 minutes.

Great quality grip that keeps the rug from sliding, my daughters play area has a couch on the other side of the baby fence making it easy for her rug and foam couch to slide over and push the rug up BUT since getting this it hasn't happened. Thank god too because i was getting annoyed haha. Overall great product for a reasonable price, it's durable and thick. Covers anything all you have to do is cut it any shape you need and no odor. 10/10 very durable as well (

Absolutely awesome! I’ve tried other products to hold our small rugs in place and haven’t found any that work until we tried these. It’s like the rugs are glued down, they don’t move at all! Yet they lift up easily so we can clean the tile floors beneath. We love them!

I had to carpets put together at my front door that kept separating and moving around! I put this pad under both of them and solved the problem! They don’t separate from each other or move around! It works perfectly just needed to trim it down on two ends which was so easy! Thank you for a wonderful product that solved my problems!

This is my 3rd attempt to find something to stop my rug moving on the hard floor. Tried tape and other rug grips. This is perfect, adds extra cushion, doesn't ride up under the rug and most certainly stops the rug moving.

This was just what I needed to hold down the rug at my front door. Works like it should. Highly recommend it. The delivery was great and on time.

Works great. Very solid grip and also adds additional padding.

It does keep the rug from slipping. Very important for us as my husband has Parkinson’s.
