Physical Therapy Case Files: Acute Care

This is a must have book for any PT working in the Acute Care Setting, Home Care Setting or working with medically complex patients. The book's chapters are broken up by diagnosis, with details about the pathophysiology, medical treatment, and PT interventions. This is a very "dense" book, full of details and useful information about patient's with particular diagnosis that critical care therapists encounter daily. I purchased this book and plan to use it for competencies for my acute care PTs and PTAs.

This book provides great exposure to real life scenarios and PT actions taken as a result. Dr. Jobst has done a great job compiling authors with expert-level recommendations for different patient scenarios.
