Foam ear 'grips' 90's style.
It's not obvious from the picture but these are the 90's version of earbuds with the foam disc ear 'grips.' Not my favourite, but they sound good.

Great soundstage, best value
Compared few over-the-ear earbuds and some of my non-scientific comparisons and potentially biased findings since it depends on several factors (tested only modern music on smartphone): - Sony MDR-E9: thin sound, virtually no soundstage and no bass - Sony MDR-E10 (discontinued): better than E9, not as good though as other options - Panasonic RP-HV096: decent soundstage, decent frequency response, about average - Sansa included earbuds: sounds great and similar to better options below - Sennheiser MX365/375: all discontinued so you pay premium. The MX375 has louder midtones than 365 (more V-shape) but with adjusted eq very similar. I found MX365 slightly more comfortable but close. Both sound similar to Faaeal IRIS 2.0 which is still produced and significantly cheaper. Great soundstage and good lower frequency response for this type of headphone, could be bit brighter at higher frequencies but overall good - Faaeal Iris 2.0 with mic: didn't need mic but wasn't available without currently. Sounds very similar to MX375. Great soundstage and good low to mid frequency response. Wish upper frequencies would be little bit more pronounced but otherwise excellent especially for the price

Mic broken after 3 months of everyday use
Was great while it lasted. Sound + Mic quality was great. A little on the heavy side due to the heavy duty wiring that contributed to the quality sound. After 3 months of everyday use the Mic does not work.

Couldn't ask for more at this price
This one of the best earbuds one can get in this price segment. Mids & Bass are terrific. Highs too are clear. Go for it.

Tremendous Value
I'm regularly amazed and the kind of sound quality that's available at a low cost these days. I've developed a bit of a habit for cheap IEMs, but in the past I've always associated earbuds (that don't seal with the ear canal) with tinny, middling sound. I got these on a lark, given the cost, and I've been very pleasantly surprised. These are good-- not just "for the price," but on their own, and they've found their way into regular usage for me, even compared to much more expensive headphones and earbuds. Comfort is a big reason for that: the earbud form factor is light and convenient, making them great for around the house wear. They don't block out external noise, which can be good or bad depending on your use. In terms of sound, I don't want to oversell them--they're $10 headphones--but they're undeniably solid, and for listening to music in the background they provide a nice, balanced sound. They remind me a bit of the Koss KSC75s, another famous value headphone: a little bright and light on bass, but otherwise a better tone than you'll find in significantly more expensive headphones. The build feels a little cheap, which is understandable since they *are* cheap. Still, I'd be a little concerned about durability if I were lugging them around everywhere. And a caveat: earbuds like these can be very sensitive to positioning; if they sit in your ear a little differently, that can have a significant impact on the sound. For me, though, I've got no complaints. These have punched well above their weight.
