We were looking for a few more foldable crates for various reasons. Then we found this one on Amazon that comes with a range of features, so we decided to pay up for this very expensive crate as we are likely to use it frequently in a number of ways.First of all, we live in a relatively small inner-city house where we lack storage space and a sizeable fridge. So in winter we often find ourselves leaving left-over food or soup in a pot, closed with a lid outdoors. That’s not such a problem weren’t it for the foxes or rain. So we were looking for a lockable crate in which we could secure food a little more effectively - this crate comes with a cover that can be secured with two side clips and thus qualifies.Secondly, we make frequent trips abroad to our holiday home. During these trips we are always hauling stuff back and forth including food. In particular on the trip back we like to bring frozen snacks to replenish our stash at home. This crate comes with a zipped cooling bag, so with some frozen elements it transforms into a sizeable cool box. There is also a water proof bag included, but I yet have to find a proper use for that - it would perhaps be helpful if you want to store clothes and textiles in the crate.When not in use, the crate serves as a truck organiser.Lastly, the crate also has a traingular traffic warning sign on the bottom, which could be helpful for some. And you will be obliged to have such a sign at hand when traveling over the French roads. However out car, as I suspect most these days, already has a warning signed stowed in a convenient location, in the trunk door. So we would be hard pushed to empty this create and then use it as a sign. But who knows. However the bottom of the carte also carries a warning sticker that says that the triangular warning sign cannot serve as a replacement for a triangular traffic warnings sign…The two actual drawbacks I would point to is that the volume/size is a little limited. Certainly my wife had expected it to be bigger. Also, its small aesthetic thing, but I don’t like the two-colour design (black and dark red). I would have prefered it to be all back or dark grey.Even so, we’re very pleased with this crate. The crate is study and well-designed; its folds down to consume much less space and has anti sliding rubbers on the bottom - so its a good quality crate. Much better than the much cheaper ones you will be able to buy for less than half of the price. Might buy one or two more.

Brilliant! So useful, and very well designed. You can have it as a coolbox, a waterproof box, a box for "stuff" in the boot and it even converts into an emergency triangle. Really good, I would recommend it.
