CheckBuilderPro - Windows & Mac Check Printing Software

After using the older version of VersaCheck and finding it not compatible with WinBlows 10 I subscribed to the newest version and was utterly disappointed. Yes you can create blank checks but in order to keep your annual subscription up you are forced to purchase checks from VC. I contacted customer service with my total dis-satisfaction and they promptly refunded my subscription fee. After searching for another check creating program I came across CheckBuilderPro. I'm not sure why it receives mediocre reviews, I think the other purchasers must be passengers on the slow bus. I installed this, setup was a breeze. I have 3-checking accounts that use voucher checks, check-stub-stub.First check creation entered account holders, bank name, account information for the micr line, adjusted the fonts and check positions and printed flawless checks. Creating checks for the additional accounts was a breeze once the first account was created same for the vouchers without micr lines. I would highly recommend this program.

I have/manage a number of checking accounts. Since I don't actually write very many checks these days. I have been saving a small fortune by printing my own check blanks as needed. Years ago, I had the major name brand check printing software, and was very happy with it. My version eventually stopped working, and I learned that newer versions required costly subscriptions. Not for me! At that time I found a very inexpensive check printing software on Amazon. It never worked great, but did the job. I recently decided it was time to upgrade, and decided to give CheckBuilderPro a try. I received the CD/DVD along with a download link. The software installed quickly and seamlessly, and works perfectly! Setup was pretty easy, and I am now able to print checks for all of my accounts as needed. The checks work seamlessly with Quicken/Quickbooks, so I print out the blanks, then put them back in my printer, and use Quickbooks to fill them in. Couldn't ask for anything more! I believe the price of this software is very reasonable, considering its quality. Highly recommend!

Can use as checkbook/reconciliation ONLY (not necessary to set up as check writer), which is what I needed. User friendly, easy to set up categories, memos, reports, etc.

Just wanted to print checks and deposit slips since I don't need to use Quickbooks or Quicken anymore.Not what I was hoping for.

I liked the fact that I was able to use a CD ROM for installation. It's not the easiest software to nagivate. No clear instructions.

I have only been using this for a dew days, but right off the bat, this software is wonderful, you can customize your checks in every possible way.Make as many checks for as many accounts as you like. Print checks with lines to fill out or without, you can make checks to use with any accounting software because the checks can be created to any detail you need.I use it to make checks for home and for my husband's business and for my work also, which is a church with multiple checking accounts.I was a VersaCheck user for years, but when they upgraded the software it changed for the worse, so I have been looking for something else. With Versacheck after you buy their software it comes with a certain number of prints, meaning you can only print so many checks and then you have to buy a validation code again to print more, and if you don't use the amount of prints you purchased within a year, they expire. Ripping people off is more like it.You can also use this for your check register, but I utilize different software for that, so I can not comment about how well it works. I can assure you though, if it's as good and as detailed as the check printing part, you will be happy. If you have any problems, rest assured Marty will walk you through it and help you until the problem is solved.All is true and then some what they say about Marty the owner/creator of Check Builder, he answered every email within minutes, he's just a great guy and SO very helpful. I needed him for some minor detailing on a check, and we fixed it within minutes literally, through email, but I'm sure he would have called me if I wanted/needed him to. You just don't find this type of support with these large companies, and on top of that this program is so beyond theirs. So happy Marty took the time to make this program, I told him he needs to make a windows version for those not able to have Macs. I also ordered checks from their sister company, they have anything and everything you need for blank check supplies, nice colors to choose from, and very reasonably priced compared to checks ordered from the bank or elsewhere. I am just beyond pleased with Marty and this software and feel confident if any issues come up that he will be right there to solve them. Thank you Martin Knapp for not only making a great check writing software program but for being such an honest and helpful businessman on top of that. Hard to find these days. Very grateful.

It is not easy to use it is not good for the money it was a complete waste of money couldn't tell you about the quality cuz I used it about 10 minutes and tossed it in the trash definitely would not recommend it to anybody that is not a computer programmer

Simple installation, straightforward configuration, and plenty of useful tips. Highly effective design and development strategies. Definitely worth the investment.
