Do the magnetic stickers come with the z pallet or do you have to buy them separately?

They come with the magnetic metal stickers. But Most shadow pans are made with a magnetic material and won't need one. Test them and see if they are magnetic before sticking on the little metal stickers.

Is the base of the palette a magnet as well, or just metal for the magnets to stick to?

The top part is cardboard and mainly the bottom well. The inside is magnetic so it is sturdy.
