Great quality stool with VERY comfy cushion seat
This is a very sturdy and quality built unit. The lowest seat position is taller than what most would want to use as a stool for use in kitchen food prep or such use. For me it works just perfect. I have back problems and need to sit while I try to cook and this works great to push around on my hardwood floors. I did order another set of casters that were made for wood floors after reading another reviewer that stated that they would recomend doing so. I am not sure if it was needed or not. I just did not want to take the chance. The legs are metal and strong so I feel that there will be no issues or problems with them. I bought a different stool made with plastic legs that had one break and I fell in a heap on the floor and with my numerous back fusion surgeries I really could have had a major problem on my hands! The backrest on this one is much nicer than the previous which lacked one. Shipping was very quick and because I choose the Super Saver Shipping it was no charge freight. Assembly was very quick and easy with just a Phillips screwdriver to attach the seat base and a hammer (I prefer rubber mallet) to tap in casters and foot ring / gas lift in place etc. The overall quality and fit and finish I think that you will find above average to most anything else that you will find anywhere near this price point. Those of you familiar to seeing the short medical stools that most Dr. office's have, I think will most often be this same brand and seat base- regardless of black or beige..... both colors available here. (only mentioned for you to use for reference). If any of this information changes after I use it further I will return and update the info!

Excellent chair! Easy to assemble, sturdy and great upholstery material!
Overall Impression: This is an outstanding stool that is easy to assemble and sturdy. I've purchased three, and will soon purchase a fourth. How it works: Assembly is required, but is simple and takes about fifteen minutes. Once assembled, the stool will adjust with the use of the lever. I'm delighted with: The quality and sturdiness of the product. The material it is upholstered with is resilient and attractive and easy to keep clean. I am 6' 275 lbs and I use it daily. My family (all different shapes and sizes) uses them too around our craft table. Everyone is happy with them. I wish these things were different: These come with casters. The surface I use them on is VCT (tile like you find on the floor at Target) and they glide ::too easily:: which isn't always good. When I lean in to a project or move abruptly the chair tends to drift when I don't want it to. This matter is of personal preference, my daughter LOVES the wheelyness of the chairs and zips around on them. I bought replacement platforms for mine, so it doesn't roll any more and I am much happier, but I paid $20 for these replacement platform casters. I think it would be great if they were included as an option. They are only plastic pieces. (I am 3D printing another set for another chair) Also, the backing has a knob that allows you to adjust it CLOSER TO or FURTHER FROM the chair's seating platform. This is nice, but it doesn't go OUT far enough, sort of "forcing" you forward, where I want to sit BACK sometimes. I solved this by BENDING the support bar to accommodate a deeper position in the chair. That worked well. One more thing... The position of the footrest is not adjustable, and I find the fixed height fatiguing sometimes, but again, this is not a reflection of the chair's quality, just an FYI to the potential buyer...

Wanted to love it
I wanted to love this chair. It is well-built, easy to put together, and solid. As best I can tell, the materials are high-quality - definitely not cheap lightweight plastic or metal, and the leatherlike seat feels good. It rolls easily, unlike some kit chairs with caster wheels. The lever is easy to use to adjust the height, and at least so far (three weeks or so) it stays at the height you set it to. Unfortunately, for my use, it has two problems. First, I bought it to use with a craft table that sits 36" high, with about 4 to 5" (height) of wood top plus metal frame near the front. The lowest the chair will adjust is between 28 and 29" high on the seat - not enough space to squeeze even very skinny legs under the table. So I have to sort of straddle-sit, which is turning out not to be good for my hips.... Second, the seat is only 17" across (circular), which is not enough to really let me sit back on with my legs fully supported - as a result, the chair edge starts to cut off circulation in my thighs after a while. These probably won't be issues for other purchasers, but they're deal-killers for me. NOT the fault of the maker/seller! Just unfortunate facts for me, so I'm going to try a similar chair that says it can go down to about 25" high at the seat, and is a more square seat about 22"x23", which hopefully will be the size my bottom needs. I'm giving this review 4 stars due to my problems, but the product quality is worth 5 stars for someone who has different needs.

The Highchair for Adults!
I haven't had it for long, but I have to say I am impressed! You don't often get to use the words "Cheap Furniture" and "Great" without throwing the word "Not" in there somewhere, but this time that is not the case. I think this is a great stool. First off, I am 6'1", with a good amount of leg, and when you raise this stool all the way up, I have to climb up to sit down! Well, maybe not climb, but tip-toes and a bit of a hop is needed. I got this because of a bad back that keeps me from doing anything at counter height for more than a few minutes. I thought that maybe a high enough stool would allow me to sit once in a while as I am working, and that would let me spend a little more time cooking or doing the dishes. This ended up being perfect. The height is good even at the lowest setting, so I would imagine that it would work great for just about any workbench or counter. The other thing that is a big plus is that you don't see as many high stools with wheels. For my kitchen, or on a clean shop floor, one can roll themselves back and forth with ease. As high as it is, I would suggest that you make sure you have a clean, smooth floor to avoid tipping if a wheel catches, but on my kitchen floor (linoleum) it seems that the wheels won't let the chair roll really quickly. The roll with ease, but you can't just give it a shove and roll across the floor, which whether intentional or not makes it a bit safer. I could ramble on and on, but there are enough reviews to fill in the other details. It is a great stool for anyone who needs that extra height, and a comfy seat. I think it is well worth the price, and at the time I purchased it, Amazon Prime got it to me in the usual two days, and you can't beat that!

Not bad for the money, but be careful sitting down fast.
The height of the hair is great and overall the construction is sturdy. The casters that came with the chair are pretty decent, however can easily be replaced with rollerblade style casters, which I have done. I got a set of 3" casters to give it even more overall height as I'm using this stool in the garage with a tall workbench. Like another person commented, this stool very easily can skate out from under you if you are tall and don't follow a specific method when sitting down. I find the backrest is WAY too shallow even with it adjusted back fully, so therefore, when you go to sit down, your back hits the backrest and the stool starts to move rapidly out from under you before your bottom hits the seat. I'm 6'3", so when I go to sit down, I'm going "down and on" instead of shorter folks who may just be going sideways on, or "up and on". I find I have to put one foot on the chair ring to stop it from scooting, and one hand on the backrest to help steady the chair at the top as I go to sit down. I tried this with both the stock casters and the rollerblade style that I added for extra height. If you go to a better caster, THIS WILL MOVE OUT FROM UNDER YOU QUICK! BE CAREFUL! I also find that I'm much more comfortable sitting at a slight angle or even turning the seat 90 degrees to the right or left so that the backrest is not behind me when sitting. If the seat cushion were even 2" more in diameter (or radius would be even better!), this would be such a better seat! I also feel like I can't lean too far forward since I'm really only sitting on the first 1/4 to 1/3 of the seat due to the seat back being so shallow. I feel like it would shoot out from under me if I tried to bend down to get an item off of the shelf of my bench without getting up. I may make a bracket extension for this to push the seat back further out, or maybe even remove it altogether. I feel like if the seat had a little more real estate, that would help in a few areas (bracket would be offset further and the top would be more stable). Comfort-wise, since I'm sitting on only part of the seat due to the angle of the backrest, after about 45 minutes, my legs start to fall asleep, so I need to get up and walk around. Normally in the garage I'm not sitting for that long, but when running parts on my CNC mill and tweaking designs in my CAD program, I can be there sitting for an hour or more. I think if the tweaks were made to the seat, it would still cost much less than the $300 chairs I see that are comparable in size, and are probably of the same quality in construction.

Comfortable, Raises High
I bought this chair to sit at my workbench which is higher than most desks. I'm tallish, 6'0", and the bench and this chair fit me well. The seat is thick and well padded, and the backrest matches in comfort and quality. The backrest doesn't seem to move back and forth which isn't a problem but it is a surprise. Maybe I've assembled it wrong somehow but I don't know what I could have done differently, it all seems to go together just one way. Whatever, the back is close to the bottom cushion, and doesn't have any spring so the only movement is in the back cushion which swivels somewhat. No problem, it's very comfortable. I bought it for the height as I said but ironically I keep it at the lowest position because it's hard to get on when it's all the way up. The casters roll very easily, I think they're for carpet but I use the chair on my concrete garage floor and it tends to roll as I'm getting on. Not a complaint though, just an observation. It was easy to assemble, maybe it took 10 minutes. It seems to be a good chair and reasonably priced.

Homes to much.
Nice stool for the money. Easy to assemble. Great size for adults and kids. It move to much for me and I almost fell off of it twice. I donated it to someone who has control of it. I'm a senior citizen. Just be carefully on it. The wheels and seat both move around

Worth the Struggle
Received chair with missing part. Contacted seller who not only shipped missing part, but provided link to video detailing how to install it. Great professional service. Solid, good looking, comfortable chair with a wide range of height adjustment. The struggle was well worth it.
