Product description Meet Eagle Klaw The world’s only multi-point tension retainer that grips your car floor with the strength of an eagle's claw. No need to drill or cut the floor. It only takes about 3 minutes to secure your car mat. To install, Just step on it! Here's why it works... The car mat is sandwiched between the cap and the sliding washer when tightened into the anchor. Use the optional 3/8" Cutter if your mat doesn't have holes. The five-legged design provides optimal force distribution and ensures that all spikes are inserted at the same time. The fastener doesn't move if you push the mat hard in any direction. When you step on the cap, the anchor bends inward and the spikes go through the floor on a slight outward angle. When released, the fastener springs back and the spikes return to a vertical position, gripping the carpet. Due to the spike design, there will be no visible holes in the carpet if you have to remove the anchor, making it minimally intrusive. Installation is a Breeze and the Anchors Won't Break if You... Read the Instructions carefully before you begin the installation. Make sure the car floor has sufficient padding or space under the carpet at the place of Eagle Klaw anchor installation before making holes in the mats. Put the cap through the hole, push the sliding washer up onto the cap post. Screw the cap into the anchor until the end of the cap post is even or flush with the bottom of the anchor . Place the car mat where you want it to stay. Pre-engage the spikes by pushing the fastener down or tapping on the cap with a hammer slightly to prevent rebound. You can also make small holes in the floor using an awl. Stomp down on the Cap or use a hammer to ensure Vertical movement so the Spikes can pierce the floor . 2 Common installation mistakes that cause Negative Reviews Don't do this... Don’t tighten the cap into the anchor before you stomp on the cap to install the fastener. The spikes will break if the cap post sticks out under the anchor. Do this... Screw the cap into the anchor until the end of the cap post is even or flush with the bottom of the anchor . This will ensure that all prongs will be fully inserted without obstruction. Don't just engage the spikes with the carpet. They may come loose or break and the mat will move again. Make sure that all prongs fully penetrate the floor.

Review: Revised Review - I was very disappointed in this product. I have a Tesla S and the floor mat on the passenger side flops down where the floor goes from flat to vertical. I tried many other options before including Velcro, double sided tape etc, all without success. I was hopeful this product would fix my issue. After cutting the holes as directed in the floor mat, I was unable to get the anchors to grip the underlying carpet. I contacted the company and was advised to drill small holes in the carpet where the anchors could grab it---NOT. Revised review: I appreciate that no product is likely to work in all circumstances. This was the case when trying to fix an issue with the floor mats in my car falling down. I had tried many methods to resolve this without success before I ordered the Eagle Klaw. Unfortunatly, this product would not work in my vehicle. I do think the product is well made and likely will work in my other cars, but not mine. The issue appears to be the thinness of the carpet under the mat. The claws of the retention clips don't have enough carpet to adequatly grip the underlying carpet. I did contact their tech department but I was not willing to do the recommended drilling into the floor beneath the carpet. I have an electric vehicle and wasn't willing to risk drilling to potential wiring . After posting my original review, the manufacturer contacted me and refunded my money. I think the response by the manufacturer is as important as the product itself. I would definitely reconsider this product in other vehicles.
Review: Works great and installers easily - I bought these a couple years ago and installed them in 2017 Toyota Tacoma on the passenger side front and they have worked great. When I go to the car wash I unhook them and run the mats through the floor mat cleaning machine and that are holding up great. Highly recommended

I was very disappointed in this product. I have a Tesla S and the floor mat on the passenger side flops down where the floor goes from flat to vertical. I tried many other options before including Velcro, double sided tape etc, all without success. I was hopeful this product would fix my issue. After cutting the holes as directed in the floor mat, I was unable to get the anchors to grip the underlying carpet. I contacted the company and was advised to drill small holes in the carpet where the anchors could grab it---NOT. Revised review: I appreciate that no product is likely to work in all circumstances. This was the case when trying to fix an issue with the floor mats in my car falling down. I had tried many methods to resolve this without success before I ordered the Eagle Klaw. Unfortunatly, this product would not work in my vehicle. I do think the product is well made and likely will work in my other cars, but not mine. I bought these a couple years ago and installed them in 2017 Toyota Tacoma on the passenger side front and they have worked great. When I go to the car wash I unhook them and run the mats through the floor mat cleaning machine and that are holding up great. Highly recommended

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Don’t push or hammer too hard on spikes. Just enough to get engaged.

Once in a while you get a product that really appears to work and solve an annoying problem. I used these with my weathertech rear car mats, which just kept slipping. The key to good installation is placement and using a small hammer rather than just simply pushing down with your foot to engage the plastic spikes. You must also make sure that you install on flat portion of carpet where there is pad underneath (as opposed to too close to a corner). You also may have to cut off some of the bottom-of-mat rubber spikes. Also, the placement of the top screw may be between two mat ridges, which might necessitate pushing the rubber ridges flat as you screw the top portion in. Once the threads grab, you are golden. What I found works best is to push as many spikes in as you can by hand feeling for the anchor spokes through the mat, then remove upper screw and mat, and make sure spikes are engaged using small hammer or mallet. Then you can reattach mat with screws. I’m sure some people go gonzo and break the spikes. You will hear or sense a small pop when each spike engages. If your floor is uneven, one spike might not fully engage, but the bottom anchor will still be very secure. I will update this review as I use these, to indicate whether they lasted. Even if it’s just for a year and then get new ones, I will be satisfied. Anything but traveling mats !
