I tried SO hard to chose ANY brand other than Case Logic...
I bought this to replace my 3 individual camera bags in order to have all my cameras safe in one place. I searched for at least 3 hrs/night for 3-4 nights for the perfect bag. I knew I wanted it to be backpack style, easy camera access (preferably at the top), for my cameras to be protected, for there to be room for the accessories....and for it to be easy to get to them, and finally, for the bag to not scream "Hey...I've got expensive gear in here, you should steal me when she's not looking!". Oh...and i really wanted to try to find one that would hold my 15' MacBook Pro. Well, every night my search kept leading me to this particular bag. Case Logic?!? Isn't that a Walmart bag? Don't they make all those cheap bags? That was my attitude. So I kept going back at it. All to end up in the same place. Well, I finally decided to give it a shot. I figured if it was that bad i couldn't lose because i was getting free super saver shipping (which is a HUGE big deal in Hawaii because IF people will ship here, it's usually really expensive) and could return it for free if i didn't like it. Well....let me tell you...this bag isn't going ANYWHERE! I absolutely LOVE it! It's all I wanted and more. It was wayyyyy beyond my expectations. I could list all the good stuff about it all day, but I'm gonna save us all some time and tell you that the ONLY thing I don't like...is that I had such a bad attitude about the brand to begin with. It is very well constructed and met all my needs and more. The base of it is amazing! It is protected so well from water or dirt or whatever because of the material on the bottom. And it will NOT tip over. Very sturdy. My Nikon D3100 fits beautifully along with my Canon and my little camera. I had plenty of room for everything including my laptop. The best part is that I got the medium 200 bag for when I only want to take one camera with me. That bag was just as impressive when compared to the description. I love it! I got 2 bags for right around $100 and they are exactly what i need. I am extremely pleased. How pleased? Well, this is the first review i've EVER done on anything in my 40 years of life. It was THAT important to me to put my two cents worth on the reviews. I would recommend that you watch the short videos on the description page because they are very accurate. I was actually pleasantly surprised when i discovered the bag to be even better than it was portrayed in the video. OK, so there's my review. Good luck...and hey...don't be afraid to try out this brand...you might be surprised ;)

My Favorite Camera Bag!
Update 10/3/14: So I felt that I should update this review. It's been about 6 months since my original review, and I still love this bag. I have noticed a little wear and tear on the bottom, but I do use this at least 2-3 times per week for shoots. Everything else on the bad looks like it's brand new, which is amazing to me with how much it's being used... The inner padding is still nice and thick, no break down there. Only place I'm seeing any sign of wear is on the bottom where it get placed on the ground/table during shoots, which make complete sense... Definitely a good pick! April 2014: I have had many camera bags over the years, but this is definitely my favorite. It is perfect for city living photographers/filmmakers. I generally use this camera bag for broll video shoots, and it has been great. It looks like a normal backpack so generally I feel more comfortable walking with it down the street. Cameras are an easy steal.. It also has two velcro straps on the zipper, which makes it harder for someone to unzip your bag without you noticing on a crowded train/bus. The theft part aside, this bag also has a great deal of space. I cary several lenses, flash, extra batteries, cards etc, and I generally use the side straps (tripod straps) for my monopod, which fits perfectly. It's also much more comfortable when carrying for a long period of time. No more sore shoulders at the end of the day. Having the quick access top is great for run and gun photo/video. The camera slides in nicely and all the padding inside feels very thick. I have no concern about my camera being damaged by a minor bump somewhere, and they are adjustable enough to keep accessories from bouncing all over. The camera, sitting in its cradle is nearly immobilized, which is great compared to my old bags, which I was always concerned about the camera shifting in the bag. Plus the accessories you put in there all sit under the camera so you never need to worry about something bouncing around and scratching up your camera, unless you hold the bag upside down... Lastly, when I was researching this bag, I read a few reviews that mentioned the rubber bottom of the bag making it hard to access the very bottom of the bag. I agree that the bag does not open completely so it's certainly in the way, but I have not found it to be difficult to access anything. I do generally have larger lenses on the bottom so they sit high enough to get access easily despite it. I suppose it depends on your layout. I like having the rubber bottom in the event something spills or you need to briefly sit the bag on a slightly wet floor. One last thing to mention is the great little computer section. It's great to be able to fit my macbook pro into the back and take it with on the occasional shoot. I've also used it to hold/organize release forms when on shoots as it nicely holds paper/folders/13inch laptops without any problem. I sometimes am concerned about the weight of the bag squashing my laptop in the middle, since it's held between me and the bag, but it is padded, and I haven't had any issues yet... Long story short, I am extremely happy with this bag. I will absolutely buy again when it wears out, but I've used this almost daily for 4 months now, and it still looks like new, so I am not worried about it wearing out anytime soon, not to mention I bought it used, and it was sent looking like new... My favorite bag yet!

Very well thought out. Minor tweaks would make it even better.
I have a Rebel T3, and currently have four lenses, 11 lens filters, lens cleaning kit, battery charger and spare battery, bounce flash (YN-560), and of course, a laptop for processing all the RAW files before exporting them as JPEG files for common sharing and consumption. I got a camera bag with my kit (free), and quickly ran out of room - there was enough space for my 18-55mm kit lens, my sigma 50-200mm lens, and a canon 50mm f/1.8, and nothing else. I quickly realized that was not going to cut it if I wanted to carry my camera on a daily basis. So I sprang for the Case Logic bag, about a week before I went on a three week trip to Australia, where I expected to carry my bag with me every single day, which I did. Back home now, I still carry it every day, and because of that, I had all my kit on me at a close friends retirement party when I found out no-one was going to be taking quality photographs. So I got roped into it. Up to you whether that's a pro or a con. Yes, there is a point in all of that: this is a very comfortable case for carrying around a camera, a lot of lenses and kit, and a laptop. The internal layout can be changed to whatever size compartments you need to keep your equipment (and fragile lenses) snug and safe in thick padding. The laptop compartment in the back is a generous size, and also has ample padding. The straps are thick and comfy, though they can feel a little like they're going to slide off your arms if you don't have them cinched a little in toward your shoulders. A cross chest strap here would be nice. The waterproof plastic bottom is a very nice touch - the bag free stands when you put it down so you don't have to worry about anything getting damaged if it falls over, and I also don't have to worry so much about where I'm putting it down. That teeny little puddle isn't going to soak into the bag, because it isn't even going to touch any of the fabric. The bag is well made. All stitches/joins/zippers etc. are still in the same condition as when I bought it. I expect I will be using this bag for quite a while. Be careful of the Velcro on the bottom of the straps if you have bare arms. During the course of one day of taking the bag off and putting it on again (several times) I scratched my arm and wrist on the Velcro to the point where I had to actively avoid that little strip because it was getting to the point where it would start bleeding soon. Adjustment of the straps later that day solved the problem entirely. Would have been nice if the side pocket was larger. The only thing I can put in there is a soft pouch filter pack, and even then, not if I combine all my filters (11 total) into the same pouch. Definitely could do more there. Aside from those (minor) issues, I am very happy with this bag. Considering the price point, and everything I am now able to carry on a daily basis (and in comfort), I can definitely recommend this bag if you want to carry a laptop, DSLR, multiple lenses, and various other accessories.

My favorite bag right now.
If you are into photography and have a lot of gear, you probably have a wide range of bags that fit specific needs. I have probably had 20 different bags over the last 10 years in all shapes and sizes. Every bag I have ever purchased always had one of two things that prevented it from being perfect. I have found myself taking padding or dividers from a bag to fix other bag to try to make them better. This bag will allow me to get rid of the majority of my bags. It is my new favorite and I see myself using it for the majority of my work. It is set up perfectly for my equipment and has not had an issue with it. Pluses: 1. The hard shell bottom is brilliant. Why has no other bag company thought of this? No more wet bottom, no more tipping. Easily the best feature. 2. Holds an amazing amount of gear in a small space. The padding in it is better than any other bag I have had. Smart setup allows you to fit a ton of gear. Currently in this bag: 60d, 1D Mark II, 70-200 f4 with hood, 50mm f1.4, 17-40 f4 with hood, 28mm f1.8, 430ex II flash, Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook. 4 extra batteries and 2 chargers for 60d, 1 extra batter for 1D Mark II, A ton of cables for iPhone, Ultrabook power supply, memory cards, camera and flash manuals, External HD, External battery case for iPhone, Eye Glass case, business card wallet, wallet, rocket blower, assorted micro fiber wipes, 2 pair of ear buds, and a small bottle of tylenol. That is a lot in such a smallish bag. I have another bag that is 3 inches taller and 4 inches wider that does not hold all that. After all that, the bag looks in it's original state and not overly packed. 3. It is light and the straps fit nicely. You do not feel the pressure of the laptop on your back in this bag. It is very padded and overall, it fits my back nicely. 4. Interior color is yellow which allows you to see things lying in bag in darker light. I hate trying to find a battery in dark light when the bag is gray. A black battery sticks out in yellow better than on gray or black. 5. It is small enough where you can carry it with all my gear as a normal work bag. My gear is always with me now. 6. The front pocket is nicely divided up. The side pocket kills for all the cables I carry. 7. The suspension holder for the camera is pretty cool actually. Works better with a short lens I have found than with a longer lens. Especially with a ton of other lenses, etc... The 50mm f1.4 on the camera works great with the suspension strap. Cons: 1. The straps that loosen/tighten the backpack straps have this really cool Velcro strap around it that prevents the straps from flying around. All though cool, if you pull on it, it tightens the backpack strap. If you use those straps to pull the backpack straps apart to take off, it doesn't work so well. The straps slide up and down the backpack strap a little too easy. 2. I have never used the tripod straps on any bag I have had, but normally the straps are in the middle of the bag to better balance out the bag. These are on the right side of the bag and may cause you to be a little unbalanced. Not a complaint since I will probably never use it, but it may be for others. Just a fantastic bag. If this bag had other flaws, the hard shell bottom would trump them alone. Just a brilliant idea, especially if you are out on a nice fall day after a rain. The bag stays dry if you put it down. ***UPDATE TO THIS REVIEW - OCT. 30th, 2012*** Ran into this issue a couple times now. If you leave the laptop compartment unzipped a little (5-6 inch opening) and you pick up a backpack strap, both zippers unzip the entire length and my Ultrabook almost escaped out of it. My bag was full of gear and the weight of the gear caused the zippers to slide easily down to the bottom of the bag, which in this case is an issue. Please remember to zip them all the way to the top or do what I do, zip them both to the bottom on one side. I don't think this changes my overall rating on the bag, but it is something I will have to get used to.

Perfect for moderate amount of equipment.
This bag is perfect for my needs! I had seen this bag in person at a big box electronics store when I was on a business trip to San Diego, but the price was a bit too high, so I found the bag on Amazon and ordered it. (of course this bag was just part of the Amazon Prime Sale and I could have gotten an even better deal, oh well). It was waiting for me when I got back to Albuquerque. This is not a huge bag, but as I said it is perfect for my needs. I love the bright yellow interior which makes finding stuff easier - everything stands out! I also love the "Camera Sling" for easy, quick access to your camera without the need to fully unzip the bag. It is very comfortable, with nicely padded straps and the back is designed to provide good air flow to keep you comfortable when hiking. The hard rubberized bottom is brilliant! It allows you to stand the bag upright anywhere and also protects the contents from moisture. The zippers are very heavy duty and sturdy. There is also a pair of velcro straps to hold a portable tripod. Here's what I carry in this bag: Canon 7D Mark ii Canon 10-18m Ultra Wide EFS Lens Canon 50mm f1.4 lens (attached to camera) Canon 24 - 105mm "L" lens Canon 70 - 200mm f4 "L" Lens Canon 300mm f4 "L" Lens Canon 1.4x extender Canon battery charger for 7DM2 Two Extra Canon Batteries Canon 550ex speed light flash about 3 filters of various sizes The usual cleaning stuff (Bulb-type blower, lens brush, cloth, tissue wipes lens cleaner) A couple of extra CF cards in a Pelican case. (Optionally) a Sirui N-2204X Carbon Fibre tripod w/ Ball Head (strapped to the side) Oh, and I can put my 13" Mac Book Pro in the back compartment (It would likely fit a 15" too but probably not much larger) The above should give you a fair idea of the capacity. With all the above listed in the bag it is pretty filled out and heavy, but I could probably get a few more small items in there. If you need to carry more than what I've listed, you probably need a bigger bag like a Think Tank Streetwalker Hard Drive. But if you have about what I listed or less, this is a super bag! If I were looking for a bag now, would I buy this bag again? In a heartbeat!

Good bad, very configurable!
Excellent bag. I bought this about 10 months ago when I started buying heavily into film equipment for shooting short movies while I'm at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. At that time I wasn't entirely sure what to look for in a bag, but this one seemed pretty decent. Several months in, here's what I can tell you: the bag's greatest features are: 1. It's ridiculously well padded. Seriously, no normal usage will cause your gear the least bit of harm inside this bag. It's journeyed across America, Turkey and Scotland with no problems. 2. The reconfigurable interior foam is fantastic. You can reconfigure the bag's internals in any way you want (obviously within the constraints of the bag's size and included components), making it very easy to create tight fitting compartments for your lenses, camera body and other accessories. This is, of course, super important for making sure your gear is well protected. I've got mine configured to hold the 3 lenses I normally carry, as well as a set of ND filters, USB power bricks for recharging my other accessories, and of course, various and sundry accessories that change depending on what I plan to be shooting. The shoulder straps are thick and well padded, and of course can be adjusted to your comfort area (I recommend high on the shoulders, but then, I'm a guy with big shoulders (48"), so that may just be an anatomy based preference. The outer pockets are great for carrying stuff you need easy access to (surprise, surprise, right?, and each is double zippered so you can lock them if you feel it's necessary. Also, there are straps on one side to hold your small tripod, if you're into such a thing. The bag is well made and, almost a year in for me, shows no signs of wear or tear. I am happy with the purchase and expect you probably will be, too.

Better than a camera bag, it's a well-thought backpack
Whether or not you need to carry a lot of lenses or accessories this backpack is well worth considering. There's plenty of room for lenses, batteries, accessories, and a tripod to be carried on the side. Each and every interior piece is Velcro attached so it's adjustable for various length lenses. An unexpected bonus is that it's very easy to clean since all the pieces can be removed and washed as necessary (I found this out after an unruly sports fan dumped a soda into the bag because I didn't toss a game ball into the stands). A unique feature of this backpack is the SLR cradle at the top of the pack. Simply adjust the cradle (it's Velcro so it's quick and easy) and slide the camera in. Simply unzip the top of the flap, reach in and grab the camera, and you now have the camera in perfect position to shoot. I don't normally carry a laptop with me unless I'm covering a tournament and need to develop photos between games but the laptop sleeve is a nice feature if you need it. An unintended feature of the backpack is that it doesn't scream "expensive camera equipment inside - please steal", it's simply a black backpack with modest labeling. I've used this bag for an entire sports season. It's been lugged around dozens of stadiums, sat in grass and mud, had soda dumped on it, and it still looks new inside and out. If this one ever wears out I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another. Pros: -Lightweight -Well-made -Very adjustable -Foam padding does a good job protecting equipment -Exterior seems to be fairly soda-resistant as it didn't seep through and wiped clean with a damp cloth -Exterior bottom panel is made of a thicker waterproof panel that also cleans easily and keeps the interior dry -Tripod straps can easily be used to carry two water/Gatorade bottles -Comfortable to carry since the weight is better distributed over both shoulders unlike traditional camera bags that sling over a single shoulder, a common cause of neck and shoulder pain. Cons: -Does not have dedicated pockets for memory cards or batteries. It does have zippered pockets but if you prefer your memory cards to be organized you'll need a memory card pouch. -I would prefer a bit more padding on the shoulder straps. They're not bad but could be better. If you're not carrying the backpack for hours on end I don't think it'd matter very much but figured I'd mention it in case that's a primary concern for you.

Fantastic camera bag
I purchased this camera bag for my Sony alpha 230. Before i begin i am going to list everything that i put in it. Of coarse my camera with a Sony sal1855 lens. I have a tameron 70-300mm lens,Sony sal50f18 lens, and a Sony sal16f28 fish eye lens, my cleaning kit, soft case for camera, and four different filter kits. I took off the hood for the 300mm, but it is the bag. Then in all the pockets i have my extra battery, battery charger, and all the attachments for my computer and iPad, a small pad of paper and pen, and a small maglight. All this is in the bag and i still have tons of room. The construction is sturdy. The hard rubber bottom saved my equipment from the water while on the boat. The inside has tons of padding, and the adjustable sides are awesome. The space for the laptop is huge as well, but only used it for my iPad. The straps are heavily padded and comfortable. They also have a Velcro thing to tie up the excess strap so it's not in the way. I didn't use my tripod, but the bag offers two elastic straps to carry it on the outside. There are tons of pockets to put your keys, wallet, and other things in. It has little straps that stop the zippers from opening all the way, causing your contents to spill out. I used this bag and took it everywhere during my two week vacation to FL (Disney, epcot, deep sea fishing, the island, hiking, a airboat ride in the everglades, and the beach. It provided exceptional protection and versatility. The drawbacks: Even though the inside is big, there is a few inches at the bottom where the rubber bottom is, that is a little hard to access. Lenses placed In the bottom three compartments will be hard to get out. But I placed my cleaning kit, filters, and lens hood down there. Another drawback is the camera body hammock system. It is a very nice body holder and adds extra shock absorption if the bag is dropped. But, it does take up an excess amount of room. I forgot to mention this earlier, but the tripod straps seem a little week. But I did hang a hat from it while I was shooting. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this bag and i must say that caselogic made an incredible camera bag. The draw backs I listed here are not that bad and would still recommend this to everyone.
