I repurpose Breyer horses (plastic horse models) by stripping the paint off and doing custom painting. We did 5 models in total. Talk about fast! The most time is reloading the little blaster, as it doesn't hold a lot, but that's not a big deal. It can take me an hour to hand sand a classic size model, and I can't get into all the cracks and crevices. It took 5 minutes for a model with the soda blaster, and it gets it completely clean. Wow!! I used powdered sodium bicarbonate....we had a 50 lb bag on hand that we bought for another use, so we decided to try it. Worked great once we ran it through a sieve to get all the lumps out. Then we tried silica sand, which we also had on hand, and it was even better. I couldn't be more pleased with the time savings on this little unit. Review: Work pretty good - I kept this sandblaster little bit better than the other one. I purchased.\n But I just don't care much for sandblasting, either. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great wood finish remover...but be careful! *by D***D on December 20, 2023* I used this soda blaster to save me time and do a better job removing the old finish between the cross rails and the chair stiles. It did a great job, but it left the surface of the wood rougher than I'd expected with the feed dial at 50%...so I needed to finish sanding by hand, which was much easier once the finish was removed. Be aware that this soda blaster uses a LOT of baking soda and the gun reservoir empties quickly.
