Casio MS-80B Desktop Calculator, Tax & Currency Tools

Good calculator, easy operation, good size, and good price.

Good household calculators are always useful. This Casio does all of the basic math functions plus: percentage, square root, tax rate/tax, switch sign, and memory. The displayed characters are 1/2" high well formed and presented in bright bold contrast. The keys have a tactile feel and are large enough and space enough to have room for even large fingers. Solar powered, it never requires batteries or recharging.

Perfect for anyone doing taxes and other hand calculations, perfect for the desk and you can read the numbers very well. Good buy overall.

I lost track of how many times I have bought this particular calculator (and the last time I had to buy one, years ago). They work great, they last a long time. It is very convenient that you don't need batteries because it is solar-powered, which it's a plus. Size is good and the numbers are very bright. I totally recommend it.

Great little calculator. Nice soft keys. Nice display. However, I'm deducting a star because the currency exchange feature does not work (C2 does not display when pressed; followed instructions to a T). I decided to keep it since I'd rarely use that feature.

This is a GREAT model calculator. I've owned them for the past 40 years. They are solar operated but also have a battery backup and the battery literally lasts for years! After many, many years of use, I did replace my first one and imagine my surprise when I discovered that the exact same model is still being produced. I was thrilled! I replaced my original one and the replacement is working just as good as the original one. My mom recently indicated that she needed a calculator so I ordered this one on Amazon and had it shipped to her. After ordering she wondered if she should have gotten one with bigger numbers, easier to see, but when she received it, she was very happy with it and thanked me again. Here's a tip that I told mom and she loved the idea: Keep the hard plastic container the calculator comes in and store your Casio in it. It keeps it clean and handy. Calculator comes with a small instruction manuel, but it's really user friendly. I can't say enough good about this calculator. I hope Casio NEVER stops making them. Trust me, if you are considering buying a calculator buy this one. You will thank me later!

Brand new works fine this was a replacement for my old one . Price was good no problems.

This Casio MS-80B portable desk calculator is one nice little piece of home officeequipment. We'll start with the statistics and then head down for a brief review ofthe MS-80B.Width: 4-1/16 inchLength: 5-3/4 inchHeight: 3/8 to 1-1/8 inchKeys: 1/2 by 7/16 inch (Number & most function keys)"On" / "Off" ButtonsLarge 8 Digit Display [ 3/8 inch height digits ]2-way Power, Solar and BatteryTax CalculationsCurrency Conversion3 Memory KeysProfit Margin Percent CalculationSquare Root KeyKey Roll Over3-Digit Comma MarkersI like the low key, muted gold, color of the calculator and how easy the buttons pressdown under very little pressure from the fingers. The display sits at a nice angle onthe desk and the numbers are a large 3/8 of an inch high which are easily read from2 to 3 feet away. The face-plate on the keyboard area is metal and provides a nice contrast to the plasticdisplay area that tilts upward from the keyboard. I could easily see the LC (LiquidCrystal) black digital-like numbers even under a bright fluorescent lamp on the desk. The display is not back-lit so you will need an external light source to use the CasioMS-80B.All I had to do to start using the calculator was sit it in the sun for a few hours and, voila, let the calculating began. Of course, not like the calculating on the 'Game of Thrones'series; but calculating for you and me so we can balance the finances and do the taxes. This model does have separate ON and OFF buttons, yet it will power off after a fewminutes if left unattended or blatantly ignored. By the way it is the Casio Model 'MS-80S'that does NOT have an OFF button. The 'MS-80S' is almost twice the cost.I do not see any obvious way to replace the battery on this unit. There are two visiblescrews on the back of the display and, I assume, two screws underneath the rubberpads on the back of the base.Overall, a very nice portable desk calculator for home or a small office. I like the looks, the feel, and the price of this solid unit and that is why it gets 5 stars.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------NOTE 08/18/2015: The calculator pictured on this Amazon web page is for the 'MS-80S'and is featured as a "Tax" calculator on this Amazon page:Casio - MS-80S Tax and Currency Calculator, 8-Digit LCD MS-80S (DMi EA.

Casio MB-80B calculater is one of the best and Stylish calculater for basic usages, big and clear display, comfortable keys, Two way power and turn-off button, only one thing that keeps away from one star is “it doesn’t has a check option button to check multiple entries”1)Compact design n size2)Sharp display3)Attractive keys4)Currency conversation n General business usage5)Made of good material6)Original Casio brand name in back plate n in display on turnoff7)Made in PhilippinesOVERALL FOUR STARS

Don't wast money with other brands, casio is only cheap products well constructed, just compare them and see by yourself. For the money, best choice.

disappointed that the item is smaller than expected. the numbers on the calculator are big and the buttons are smooth. like the on/off function

Muy práctica para operaciones sencillas gramaticales, porcentajes, etc. de celdas solares, antideslizante. Me gustó mucho.
