Question 1

Can anyone tell me what is actually in the set, besides " essential pots and pans"? I'm looking for sizes/capacity here.

Accepted Answer

the set contains: 6 quart dutch oven with glass lid: 9 1/2" wide at the top and 4 7/8" deep inside. 3 quart deep sauce or frying pan with glass lid: 9 1/2" wide at the top and 2 7/8" deep inside. 8 1/2" saute pan (nice for frying one egg). 10" saute pan (large enough for 1-2 eggs). 1 quart sauce pan with glass lid: 5 1/2" wide at the top and 2 1/2" deep inside. 2 quart sauce pan with glass lid: 6 1/4" deep and 3 3/4" deep inside. I really love this set but I could use a 3 -4 quart sauce pan for larger meals. Hope this helps!

Question 2

Is the aluminum base encapsulated by stainless steel?

Accepted Answer

The outside is all stainless steel and the inside is all a nonstick finish. The base on the inside is a grooved nonstick. Had at least a year and use daily and are as perfect as the day we bought them. Love them!

Question 3

what is the non stick finish made from? Does it have Fluoride in it? Does it come into contact with the food?

Accepted Answer

Dear Consumer, thank you for your inquiry. All of our Circulon cookware lines, including the Circulon Genesis Stainless Steel, are PFOA, Lead and Cadmium Free. The interior surfaces of the cookware are coated with a conventional polymer-based non-stick (that is PFOA free and also lead and cadmium free.) The cookware does not contain fluoride. The pans themselves are constructed of Stainless Steel, with a non-stick coating on the interior. Please note that PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) is the technical term for a polymer-based non-stick coating and is not to be confused with PFOA(Perfluorooctanoic acid) which is a chemical additive that is not used by our company in any of our products. Thank you for allowing us to be of service to you. -Mario S., Consumer Relations, Meyer Corporation
