I have used page search to look for the accompanying fine print and there is none** A: My opinion is the decibal rating is different in a controlled environment vs in the field. **Q: Can you hear birds through them?** A: These are not sound cancelling earmuffs, so I would say you should be able to hear sounds, but the noise will be decreased.
