Dolce & Gabbana 5 Piece Mini Splash Gift Set for Unisex

I chose to buy this little "sampler set" because I wanted to know how each scent smelled on me and, let's face it, even the best nose can't sample more than 2 perfumes at a store. (Two? You scoff. Try one on each wrist or one scent a your wrist and one on the insides of your elbows. Clear your 'nose pallet' in between test smells by inhaling a neutral scent like your shirt or something.)But I digress. I was so excited when this finally arrived. They are the tiny little splash bottles so the quantity that is ending up on your skin is far less than if you sprayed it with a department store sample. If you want to "get the scent going" you'll want to "splash" a pulse point 3 times or so.I wanted to know what they used for each fragrance so I was clicking around on the Internet and I found out that all 5 fragrances weren't intended for women nor invented as unisex even though the scents are light and could be worn as such.Number 1 le Bateleur and 6 L'Amoureux were invented as mens' scents! While 3 L'Imperatrice (the Empress), 10 La Roue de la Fortune (the Wheel of Fortune) and 18 La Lune (the Moon) are womens.Le Bateleur has a citrus-y smell, a manlier version of L'Imperatrice while 6 L'Amoureux has woodsy/resin undertone that's popular in some women's perfumes. It's enticing enough to wear yourself without feeling manly. (Besides, if I want to smell it I'll have to wear it cos my husband isn't a cologne-wearing type.) La Lune smells divine and feminie.

Beautiful packaging of course and highly quality product.. problems:D and G Italian: not a problem... but case again, Made in China. What a turn off!!I do all that I can to purchase items NOT MADE IN CHINA. Not because I don't like the country or the great people of China,I am outraged by multinational corporations who have impoverished the USA; such as Liz Claiborne; all of the former great former USA shoe companies like Bass that now make crappy shoes sold in the USA for outrageous prices, exploiting Chinese labor having stripped USA workers of jobs... everything made in CHINA means .... Huge Profits for multinational corporations who relay on 'branding' of the past to exploit Chinese workers, rip off Americans for crappy products, and rob USA people of jobs. Amen.Fragrances: Amazon didn't note this set is a "unisex" set of fragrances. I never would have bought it. There is only one fragrance that grabs me and never lets me go. I thought there might be another or more that would be equally great, but this definitely was not the case.Lesson learned: Will pay more attention to product details in the future and research elsewhere online before I purchase a product on Amazon that I am unfamiliar with.

I purchased this wonderful set of D&G perfume and it is JUST as alluring as I remember it! I discovered this perfume by accident walking around the mall (I have always had a keen sense of smell when it comes to scent especially the sensual kind) and learning that they only accept credit and would cost me $75 I decided to look on Amazon and wow, you guys never cease to amaze me! I am very happy with my purchase; the smells are sexy and sensual, the perfume itself is unisex, light and absolutely fabulous! Does not stir up my allergies one bit. I will definitely come back here to buy some more. Thank you guys once again I am inlove with this stuff!

Its nice to sample the scents but they do evaporate fast so take them with you didn't get a lot of compliments once you go outside it is very subtle

These scents are great - though they fade fast on my skin. The case is made of some leatherette that's a little more rubbery than I expected, but I guess that's good if you use this near any makeup or your sink. The thing that knocks this gift down a few points for me is the design of the caps on the bottles. The caps are like what you get on a tiny perfume sample. Not small size bottles that you may port around when you travel. I expected screw caps of some sort. I'd be willing to pay more for individual sprays. Really had hoped for a higher quality from D&G on this. Would buy from this seller again, though. Arrived quickly in good shape.

I was interested in one of the scents but I could only find a smaller version in this sampler set. Some smell great, some take a moment to set in and 1 doesn't appeal to me. I think it is a matter of personal preference. Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase. Also, the set came in a nice leather case. That was the something extra that just put this over the top.

Very reasonable price and good for travel, but does not compare to the L'eau The One by Dolce & Gabbana!
