**Q: The description says "easy release plates" for easy cleanup. How does that work??**
A: You grease or oil them before you bake your waffles - important to use cooking sprays WITHOUT silicone, which can cause a sticky buildup.  I used spray canola oil and there was no sticking, right down to the ninth waffle (the included recipe would have made ten had I not used too much on the first one!) The plates are not removable.

My son is very fussy eater, but loves ‘puddle waffles’ from Liverpool. Sadly we live about 2 hours away, so a weekly visit isn’t going to happen. This is a fab little machine, cooks quickly, evenly & cleans easily inside. Overspill isn’t so easy but not enough to put me off buying again. Don’t overfill the irons, I use a scotch pancake recipe which is better than those in the instructions, but it’s about personal choice. I will be gifting these machines to friends, so yes, I’d definitely recommend, enjoy!
