This works perfectly for broken clay before firing! It has saved so many of my pieces! It’s so easy to use and has helped so much! Definitely buy it!

Mended my project well. Re- bisque fire before glazing.

Get the connecting areas wet to improve the connecting ability. Let dry completely before firing. I tried to use is as a filler for a missing chip, but it doesn’t really build up well…maybe another 30-40 coats and I could have built up the gap.

I tried this item mostly because it is so less expensive than its competition. Used it on greenware. It took acouple of tries but it does work. alittle slow to set up and dry but I held the pieces in place longer and it did mend the pieces. will keep it on hand for furure use, When sealing the jar, i covered the open jar with press and seal plastic wrap and then twisted the jar lid down. I find this makes it more air tight and so the product lasts longer too.

This stuff doesn't always work but my students have enough success with it that they always try to repair their S cracks and poor handle joins.

Mayco's Bisque Fix is the best I've used thus far. It's priced well and the fact that you only get a small amount is actually a "plus!" These substances tend to dry out quickly if you don't use them within a six months or so. I had a small crack to repair and tried using the Amaco Bisque Fix I had stored in my supply locker, only to find out it had hardened. Once that happens, there is no recovery. You have to discard it. That's what prompted this purchase. This product brushed on easily, filled the crack and I was able to lightly sand the greenware before it went into bisque firing. It came out nice. Another "plus" is that it doesn't turn bright white when it dries. It's the same color B-Mix Slip. So when it dried it matched the color of the clay perfectly. Lastly, because it's a small container, I'm more likely to use it before it dries out.

Maybe it works sticking broken greenware back together; haven't tried it for that. But it sure does not work to fill in cracks, either in greenware or bisqued clay — just in case you were thinking of using it for that purpose, like I was.
