An heirloom open pollinated yellow dent corn appropriate for grinding into cornmeal or making into masa or hominy. These are the whole kernels. Allergy Notice: Our farm uses some of the same machinery to harvest and handle corn, soybeans, wheat, oats, buckwheat and field peas.

**Q: Is there a smaller bag available? Want to make tortillas and the recipe calls for 1 pound at a time. So 5lbs or less would work**
A: 25lb is the smallest that I have found. I make tortillas with my corn too.

**Q: Can this corn be malted for spirit distillation?**
A: Don’t know why not.  It’s ordinary field corn that’s been thoroughly screened and cleaned.  Probably the same stuff the major distillers use by the truck/train load.

**Q: Can  it be used to make popcorn? Thank you.**
A: No. sorry. It will not pop well. Popcorn has a different type of kernel from a different line (genetics) of corn than this. If you tried to roast/toast these kernels you would get something similar to corn nuts.

**Q: Can this be ground into grits?**
A: Yes it can. Though to get "Southern" grits, you will need to sift off (bolt) the finest portion.
