Impact 5-in-1 Reflector Disc - 32"

This is the first Impact product that I purchased and I'd have to say I'm very happy. Though you can get other 5-in-1 reflectors for cheaper, the quality might suffer. For now the quality seems to be top notch, the different reflecting surfaces that you get are white, silver, gold, and a zig-zag patern of gold/silver.I really like the zig-zag gold/silver reflector adds a slight gold-warm color to the subject and not as fully golden as the other. So the reflector comes in three pieces; the protective carry/holding sleeve, the double duo sided zippered cover, and the white scrim.One hit on this reflector combo that I could see a problem over the long term is the zipper that is used on the cover. I don't find it to be very robust and the pull tab I could see one day breaking off. The zipper is of the reversible type but I think it could be better, it seems to be biased on one side and the problem I encountered was when I zipped up the cover on the un-biased side. The zipper would zip up to a certain point and stop even though there were no obstruction in the way, I had to slightly remove the tension placed on the zipper to get it to fully zip smoothly. I'd say I was fighting to zip it up for a good 5 minutes.32 inches is a good manageable size for my assistant to hold. Folding up the reflector is a skill one needs to practice a bit.So that's it for now, the only ding is the Zipper used. If they fix this it would be more than excellent.

feels solid, looks to be well constructed and is made from fairly heavy duty fabric. opens with a pop due to heavy duty inner ring. (keep at arms length when opening.) used to shoot a wedding and reception. worked great! great assortment of colors tho no black. zippers are a bit on the small side but i think they will work fine if you are careful and do not ever try to force them. very compact when in stowed configuration. recommend stowing in the open position for longevity of inner ring.

I actually bought this product as a birthday present for a friend who is a serious photographer. He received them on time and had nothing but good things to say about the reflectors. He had been looking for something like this to fill photos with natural light as opposed to using a fill flash. After taking only a few photos, he was quite impressed. I am into photography as well and my friend had talked me into buying some for myself in the future.
