UPDATE JUNE 2019Whenever there is a power outage (or if I re-boot Wi-Fi), the bulbs take forever, sometimes days, to reconnect to wi-fi. No amount of typical re-booting activities help. Not even deleting the bulb grin the app, uninstalling and reinstalling the bulb and connecting it from scratch via the app.. I have 7 of these bulbs, and some reconnect quickly, others take hours or days. Very frustrating.UPDATE DEC 2018The intermittent connectivity issue referenced below somehow worked itself out. Have not had issues for months. However, I did have one of the bulbs blink for 10-15 seconds when turned on, and it eventually would ONLY blink. I asked the seller if there was a fix for that and the seller sent me a box of 2 replacement bulbs. That is excellent customer service. Due to that and better performance of the bulbs than originally experienced, I revised my rating from 3 to 4 stars and changed the title of the review.ORIGINAL REVIEW JULY 2018These are fun. Yes, the colors are dimmer than white, but I've never seen one that wasn't. However, two of the six bulbs I bought have intermittent connectivity issues. Frustrating. Usually it can be fixed by manually turning the light on/off or twisting the bulb, but I don't want to have to do that often. Bought six bulbs and one was intermittent. Now, about 2 weeks later, another is intermittent. I'll likely return those two, but will keep monitoring and will likely return all six if another one has the connectivity issue.

I had this in my wishlist for a long time, waiting for a discount or lightning sale, which finally came a couple months ago. I am writing this review after about two months of use. So far, it has worked well in an outside light fixture. The fixture is only partially covered from the elements. It has worked through rainstorms and the high TX temps, so I give it 5 stars. It was easy to set up with the included instructions for the smarphone app as well as the Alexa Skill. I use the latter (with a Alexa routine) to have it turn on and off on a schedule, or if I just want to turn on or off with my voice.The only one time it failed was when my wireless router failed and was off for over 8 hours; then I had to go through the setup to recognize the wifi again, not the full setup. If my wifi goes out only for a short time, it this adapter recovers just fine.

I purchased these to automate my garage lighting last December, because I was going away on vacation and the dusk to dawn lights I had were proving to be somewhat unreliable. I was a bit intimidated at first because of the limited instructions, but once I scanned the barcode that changed. After I created a separate 2G wi-fi network, installation was quite simple and I was able to install two of them independent of each other even though I only had one light switch. It is now four months since installation and I have never had to reinstall any of them or reconnect them to my network even after I had a power outage recently. I am totally satisfied with my purchase. Excellent product.

We bought these to give us Christmas light laziness. We have them outside and inside and manage them from the Smart Life app, as instructed by the manufacturer through a scan code. You must set up an account, free and easy then register the devices as you bring them online. They can be a bit tricky to set up. We used the AP mode, much easier than using their preferred method. They work well. We have a single router and have the outlets placed at least 15 feet from its location. These were lower price than others we saw but resembled higher priced devices. The app allows scheduling and sharing with other family for control via ios and Android. We don't have Alexa. Be patient during setup, and enjoy this 21st century clapper.

This worked great for 3 months. I loved it! It was pretty easy to set up too. I used it to turn put my lamp from bed without disturbing my comfort (lazy American I know, but honesty might count for something? ). Then one night it just did not connect. And I tried everything to get it to connect with no luck. Overall I am disappointed. Probably won't replace it, too late to return it. Just out of luck. No more laziness though since I have to get up and click the lights off like some kind of caveman.

This item was a PITA to set up. First you have to find the proper application... which is not in the Amazon store, or at least is wasn't when I was looking for it. So once you find it you have to "side load" it onto the Kindle Fire. The device disappears frequently and one has to login again in order to set up a schedule. It kind of soured me on so-called "smart" devices. If I ever buy another smart socket, it will not be this one.

I received these and was happy, they met my expectations. I was tying to make a budget smart room and these fit the bill for being cheap, alexa compatible, and rgbw. Then, right after my return window closed one of them started to malfunction. It was small things like resetting after switching the light switch 1 or 2 times, not the listed 5. Annoying, but I was thought that's what I get for purchasing a cheap product. Then the real issues started. Every night after climbing into my bed 4 or 5 minutes after asking alexa to turn off the lights the same bulb that had issues before starts flashing white. It eventually stops after 10 minutes though. I started to leave it at 1% on a color like green so it doesn't flash. But now I can't leave it on for more that 2 or 3 hours before it disconnects from WiFi and turns off, it doesn't respond to anything except switching the switch a few times. That makes it flash before eventually connecting again, to disconnect later. I am extremely agitated and would like a replacement product so I can see in my room again.UPDATE: Shortly after this review the seller contacted me and is shipping me a replacement, thanks!

Hopefully this can help someone. Bulbs work as expected and were sent easy to setup.Follow the instructions in the manual. When you're adding the product select lighting, lightbulb (wifi), there is no options for the socket specifically. THEN the part they don't tell you is flip the light switch off/on 3x or until the lightbulb blinks, mine took more than 3x. Then do the add bulb steps. After getting the bulb to flash that's it's "pairing" mode and it adds easy.If you want to then add the lights to Google home instead of Alexa. Open the smart life app, select "me" button or your profile icon, pick more services and then Google assistant. Sign in with the account info for smart life app, then any sockets you setup in the app will show up in Google home app where you can then ok Google them by the name configured in smart life app. Fairly simple but not explained at all in their instructions.

Very easy to setup and get it connected to your router. I set it up to turn on and off on a schedule. First I tested it with a short 20 minute schedule, worked great, so I set it up for the actual schedule I wanted so it would turn on before I got home. It didn't work. While trying to troubleshoot it would keep going "Offline" I had to configure it and reconnect it to my network all over again. Does my phone have to be connected to my network at all times? That defeats the purpose of a cell phone and having a light turn on when I get home. I guess you get what you pay for.

I think the best thing I love about these smart lights is you don't have to fool with electrical switches! If you have internet just plug them into the light/lamp socket and register them with the app and Google Home. Alexa is supported also. The Smart Life app lets you do dimming of white and colour changing with a wide range of colours. The 10W lights are enough for one light to read by but I have mine in a ceiling fan/light with 3 lights. Grandkids are going to love them! Can't recommend them enough!

Easy to setup, just download app onto your phone follow instructions on how to setup. Then I added the device to my Alexa device, very handy to turn lights on and off when you not near the switch or on bottom of the stairs and switch is at the top.
