I ordered another one and it was not and I suspect was a return from another customer. **Q: Is the ion titanium flat iron dual voltage?** A: I'm not sure what dual voltage is....There are 3 buttons on it... Power, degrees up, and degrees down. There is also a screen that tells you how hot it is. I absolutely love this iron. Hope that answers your question. **Q: Does this work pretty well with thick/wavy hair! - medium length?** A: I have thick wavy to curly hair that was shoulder length and it works well but I’d recommend that you also blow it very very dry first and use a straightening product to make it easier. It takes me a long time to do it but it does work. I usually do 12 swipes per section. **Q: Does it have anything on the tips to prevent burning your fingers?** A: No. Using it I don't put my fingers on the 32nd of it though. It is easy to use.
