Great for low vis
This strobe is really good value for money. It feels very well built and durable and the LED flash at a consistent speed, at a good brightness. So far I have used it in the day time down to 24 meters as well as in silty water and honestly this was sometimes the difference between me and my buddy being able to find each other in 1m< visOverall, I would definitely recommend this product. Just chuck some AA batteries in and your ready to go.

Not to be used for scuba diving
This strobe works well above the waves but beneath them is another story. It can barely been seen on a merky day dive in the waters of Cyprus. Night time it can be seen barely 5m away. A poor product and I would very much like a refund for misleading product details.

Really great product
The media could not be loaded. It simply works really well. Very bright flashing LEDs and a focus beam out the top.I will take it on diving holidays with me so the boat can see me at night on the surface. It works well underwater but to be honest would be way too bright to have flashing away whilst diving, but really good on the surface. The attached videos were taken during daylight so at night, very very brightIf I have one little quibble it would be how to attach it to my dive setup, a belt clip would have been great. In the end I attached a ring and a boltsnap so I can clip it on. The velcro strap that comes with it works really well, so I might just use that instead.A great product that works really well.

Every diver should carry one
This was brought as a replacement for a very old scubapro strobe that died.Excellent replacement. It sits in my BCD pocket and I just forget it's there.Has been on deep wreck dives and no sign of water ingress after several 70m plus trimix dives.

Diving strobe
Amazing quality for the price paid, only used up to 30m deep at the moment.

Doesn't work - faulty switch
Received the item and tested with fresh batteries - didn't work. Did some investigation with a multimeter and found the switch to be faulty. Not a great start and definitely not something I'd want to see in a safety application.

Useful in low light only
I am a keen snorkeller, open-water swimmer and paddle boarder, and I recently lost my higher-spec diving strobe that I use for emergencies (should I need it). I thought I would try this Lomo marine LED Diving Strobe, and I was a little sceptical of how good it would be given the price. However, my scepticism has been pleasantly disproved. First I will get a couple of negatives out of the way, that is, the strobe is only effective in low-level light. As you can see from my photo which was taken on a recent snorkel trip in the Caribbean, the light is too white (it needs to be a stronger primary colour to stand out). Secondly, the switch could do with a lock, as I had packed the light switched off in my suitcase, but in transit, the switch had been turned on (but battery life is good). Those two issues out of the way, the device is quite light in weight, and I used it strapped to my arm using the basic arm strap, and it held in place for a couple of hours at a time with no issue (although it isn't the most comfortable to wear, would be better if it was made from neoprene or something similar). The water seal is very effective, but you do need to make sure that the twist cap to access the batteries is fastened tight for each dive or water sport activity. In low-level light (e.g. British weather, or dusk on holiday) the strobe is very effective. I went for an evening swim whilst on holiday, and my wife could see the strobe but not me, from around 150 metres. I have used this several times now and had no issues other than those mentioned.Whilst not the best in the world (because of the minor issues mentioned), for the price of £11.42 (including P&P) at the time of ordering in December 2023, it does the job it is meant to, very well.
