Will this be starling proof?** A: I think possibly not. It certainly deterred my local squirrels and magpies, which are my problem, don't attempt to feed from it. The holes are located in the middle x2 an bottom x2. They are just big enough for a small garden bird to feed from. I don't think Suet Fat balls would be any good. Not sure if it would deter Crows. I have stopped using mine because of the pigeons.
