This Dutch oven offers a lot for the price. Both lid and the pot can be used. Heavy and well made.

I ordered the 5 quart Dutch oven which came with a lid that also serves as a skillet. I love it it was pre-seasoned and I did re-season it once I used it I love the fact that I can use the lid as a skillet because I needed one. My last oven had plastic handles so I was unable to use it in the oven that’s one of the versatility of this particular Dutch oven I can use it in the oven. It cooks evenly what more could I ask for.I would say that I would purchase this again but I expect this to last a lifetime. And the company is sending me a free scraper. Also it does have a lifetime warranty. Love it

I bought this for my sister for Christmas not remembering I bought this for her birthday back in February. So I had her gift it to her daughter since she did not buy her anything. How wonderful was this? She got a very good gift from me and her mother. And she said it was what she wanted. Neither one of us knew. Perfect!

My husband has been looking at getting a cast iron dutch oven for a long time ... ya know, a MANLY one and not one of those pretty enamel coated ones. Well, he was shocked, surprised and happy when this was delivered and I told him that it was primarily his. If I do borrow it to cook a great roast, I told him I'd let him know because he'll be the one picking it up and placing in the oven and taking it out of the oven because it's heavy duty! He especially likes it because the lid doubles as a skillet pan. The only negative is the silicone handle covers - they're too loose fitting and its recommended you still use pot holders; I'd be afraid they would slip and create more of a hazard situation. But I'm still rating this purchase as a 5-star product.

Update after 30 days: I bought this to go camping but we have been using it in the house for stews and chilli and its been fantastic. Even though it came seasoned I decided to season it four more times on the Inside with flaxseed oil (450 for 1 Hour in oven with light coat) and then i did the outside 2 times and it came out fantastic. It cleans up real easily too. Great purchase. Cant wait to take it camping. It came seasoned but it was a bit light so i seasoned it 3 more times in oven with flax-seed and it came out really nice. Used it for the first time to cook a large batch of chilly and it did a great job. Plan on taking it camping.

This dutch oven works great for baking bread, I’ve been so happy with the results. And I like how the top can also be used as a skillet. I’ve used it multiple times for pies. This is a great deal and I highly recommend it.

I love my cast iron, I love this one. Great for making a double of bread. Love in the bottom and biscuits on top, apples in the bottom and biscuits on top. Easy to season, use and clean. Love it

I wanted a better set up for baking sourdough bread. I previously used my pizza stone and roaster pan but I realized sometimes it wasn’t tall enough. I didn’t want a large one function addition to my kitchen so this large Dutch oven is perfect! But the lid and pot can be used separately and it’s a great bread oven. I see gumbo in this pots future. The quality is outstanding. Please follow the directions for cast iron and rub a little oil on it and season it (super easy) before first use. I expect it use this for years and be able to pass it on someday. I highly recommend.

The cast iron dutch oven set was heavy but very versatile. Cleaning is easy though oiling after cooking may be a little extra work, but I'm glad to see the oven set working fine with the food cooked really tasty. The cover is very handy which saves wasting foil for the initial covering of my roast in the oven. I'm enjoying using the oven.

It’s all about seasoning and taking good care of it after every single use. Please don’t rust it with water. It does it’s job pretty well. You can easily cook 2-2,5 kg meat in it. Recommended

The description said this was pre-seasoned, but of course I seasoned it myself. I love the fact that the lid can also be used as a flying pan! The heat distribution is excellent and now that it’s seasoned properly it is easy to clea. I’ve made bread in this several times - it was perfect with a nice crispy crust. A great addition to my kitchen. I love cast iron and the fact that it lasts virtually forever.

I bought this multiple years ago and still use it regularly. Mostly for sourdough bread but I've made many other things in this cast iron Dutch oven. Perfect size for large loaf of sourdough. It is in impeccable shape. Highly recommend.
