But it certainly holds water and comes with a bite cap that does not leak. The bag is 2 liters and is heavy when ful but basically weightless when empty. There is a plastic taste to the water that goes away after a couple of washes. No cons . Its much better than carrying a canteen. It soes have a wide screw top that sems like it would be esay to fill from a stream or boil pot. Very easy to fill from my sink. I guess this could hold any beverage you like but cleaning it after would not be fun. The material is more like flexible rubber very soft but feels durable . Not sad i bought it . It does the job. There's a hanger attachment that folds to fit inside where it expands and you can hang it to dry. You might be able to buy just the hanger attachment, if you search for it. Definitely extends the life of the reservoir. **Q: Is it possible to attach sawyer mini water filter? could i cut the tube into half and attach the water filter? is the tube di small / big enough?** A: You certainly can. I did this just tonight with my Sawyer Mini. The Mini's front and back tubes are just the right size for a decently snug fit on this reservoir's hose. **Q: I see people saying its not BPA free; however right it says BPA free in description. Which is it?** A: Their website and packaging say that all of their bladders are made from 100% FDA approved BPA free material, though I could not find any information from the FDA on this or any other hydration bladder. I am not sure why anyone would think this was not BPA free. **Q: I was wondering what the deminsions are? Thanks ahead of time.** A: It's about 15" tall, 7" wide at the top then tapers down to about 5 and a half inches at the bottom. The tube itself it's abit 43 inches long. However the cap is hard to take off without spilling water everywhere. Also I had to put my knife into the mouth piece and open the hole it had there..this is actually a plus bc you can customize it rather than already having it be too big.. something to note. The reason I bought this style instead of the easier to clean pouch type opening other bladders have is BC they can explode under pressure and this did as promised..no explosions. I'm happy there but the stinking cap requires care when filling bc a vacume is created between the back of bladder and the cap area making this very annoying situation by the river in the woods pumping or squeezing precious water into nothingness...you will see.
