I love these bed lights. They work well, they fit well and they just do exactly what they were designed to do. The wiring is wrapped in wire loom and it is very tough. The hardware included mated just fine with my hole in my bed. Even though I have a spray in bedliner, no problem at all. I have a 2017 Ram 2500 SLT, 6'4" bed. My truck didn't come with these bed lights, obviously, but what my truck did come with is the wiring to basically drop the wire that is directly connected to the light heads down inside the bed and plug them in. I didn't have to run the wiring from my fusebox or internal switch. That was a really big perk. What I did have to do though is modify the computer to enable these to work. When you unlock the truck these lights come on. When you turn on the rear cargo light with the button on your light panel these lights come on. But you have to have the feature enabled in the computer. You can very easily do this yourself using software call AlphaOBD and a bluetooth OBDII dongle. This little toggle switch turns the high mounted bed light on and off (the one Incorporated with the high mounted stop light). The bed light kit includes the necessary components to connect to the same switch. NOTE, using the method described above will require your RAM dealer to update the on board control systems to recognize the presence of the bed lights (depending on your relationship with the dealer anywhere from $0 to $125). All of the above assumes the buyer wants to setup as the lights would have been as installed at the factory. There are numerous other ways to add lights with a switch of your choice which can be obtained from most automotive parts stores. These methods require a 12volt power supply and a ground wire connected through the switch. Having installed this option in my 2017 RAM 1500 as the factory setup I wouldn't go any other way. The bed lights come on when the unlock door button is pressed on the remote key fob. It stays on just like the high mounted bed light. The lights can also be turned on by the switch on the dash s described above. This is the most versital way, in my opinion. Check RAM forums for you tube of the installation process and other creative ways to connect. One of the best modifications I have made, especially with a tonneau cover. **Q: Will this fit a 2014 ram 3500** A: From my understanding, only the 2016 and newer trucks have the option in the computer software to accept these bed lights. I had the dealership install them and they had to flash the computer software so it would recognize the new lights and allow them to operate without throwing an error code. I have read on some internet sites where others have wired them into the cargo light by finding it under the drivers seat. Hope this gives you some info to make a decision. There are some really nice after market bed light systems that may provide an easier choice. **Q: Will this work with a 2015 1500 Laramie Limited?** A: If it has the holes for it, it probably does. If you look at the review eith the picture it's pretty easy to see if your year truck fits it. Look under your bed and if it has the hardness underneath it should fit. Just buy it prime so you can return it for free. Also call your local dealers to get a quote to have them program them. They will need programming and they are not cheap. One dealer quoted me $140. I took it to the dealer closer to me and they quoted me $160. I took the truck in for recall items and scheduled them to also program the lights. They then wanted to charge me like $400 to program them. I told them I was quoted $160 so he reluctantly honored it. He said it took a while to program them bc they had to download several programs to get them to work. Installing them is very easy, the cord clips line up fine. Just make sure you pay attention to the L&R sides. Don't bolt then down until you have made sure they are on the correct sides. Programming them will be the hardest and pricey part. It sucks bc I think it's $190 if you order the truck with it from manufacturer. They nice though, they light up the bed really well. Easy to install since the factory cut outs and wiring were already in place. Installed in less than an hour and it only took this long because I was taking my time and enjoying the time to work on my own truck. The hidden cost was having to go to a dealer to have the option turned on in the truck computer so they worked with the installed factory wiring. I called 3 different dealers trying to find the best price, didn't matter apparently, I still had to pay for 1 hr of shop time so they could flash the computer. With that said it was still worth the.money to me.
