HP EliteDesk 800 G2 Desktop Mini Business PC, Intel Quad-Core i5-6500T up to 3.1G, 16GB DDR4, 240GB SSD, VGA, DP, Win 11 Pro 64 bit (Renewed)

I got this new a couple of years ago, to replace a terribly old Mac that couldn't keep up anymore. I've been astonished at how fast this little PC has been. The specs don't really tell you the whole story. The folks at HP managed to optimize this machine so that it's just blazing fast compared to other computers I've had that were closer to top of the line in their day. It may not hold up well for instensive things like video procesing or bulk graphic editing in Illustrator, but for the vast majority of productivity type tasks, this tiny PC is perfect. You'd never know you're on a mini PC except the fact that it's stone cold quiet and doesn't have great HD space (just get a 500GB flash drive, they're cheap). With 7 USB ports and a 2 DisplayPorts, even the lack of HDMI isn't a very big deal. Thunderbolt would be nice but there are workarounds. I've got this thing hooked into a 43 inch 4K monitor and everything looks beautiful. Mouse is a bit slower on the big screen, but that's it.Upgrading to Win 11 was as easy as upgrading the TPM to 2.0 w/ HPs official tool, and using MSFT's registry override published on their site with instructions how to install Windows 11 on machines deemed incapable (Windows will tell you the CPU on this machine isn't up to par, but that's ridiculous). Then during the ISO ugprade you need to selected advanced and turn automatic updates during installation OFF or the install will cut out. Also, all the warnings about how if you upgrade on a machine deemed incapable will make you ineligible for future Windows updates are totally bogus - updates work fine. Windows 11 is way better than 10, especially for multiple monitors. I ran the Performance Monitor app in Windows 11, and not only did this machine pass with flying colors, it scored an 8.7 in the CPU area - where 5 is a passing score. So not only can the CPU handle Windows 11, it handles it a lot better than plenty of the machines deemed capable of Win 11.Buying one of these for $110 refurbished for office, home, or school is a no brainer.

Everything works perfectly!

The computer was everything that it was claimed to be :)

The desktop pc is very good for casual work, documents creation, browsing etc. Thanks to seller for including accessories such as bluetooth dongle, wifi dongle, keyboard and mouse. All You need is a monitor. The monitor takes VGA input. I could not find display port or hdmi ports. Memory included of 16 gb is more than enough needed casual work. Lastly, I bought refurbished, which is like new. SSD was fast, and preinstalled windows and MS Office were good to help me get started from the day I received it. Price is right. For those who do not need laptop for mobility, this small size desktop is a very good option. Highly recommended product.

Work as expected!!!Was defined as used but looks and feels like a totally new product including packaging!!!

Update 3-1-23: Another computer just died. Hard drive failed. Amazon will direct you to the manufacturer for the “1 year warranty” but the manufacturer will tell you it expired in 2019. Amazon will not do anything to help you, the consumer. Avoid purchasing from this seller because he NEVER responds and sells junk. Again, Amazon won’t do anything about. Now I have two computers on my desk.I purchased 4 of these computers for our office. One of them did not work upon arriving. I immediately had amazon replace it. Out of the four, one has stopped working (only used 5 months). It keeps rebooting, asking for drivers to be reinstalled because they have "failed." My IT people told me they could not do much and to request a replacement since refurbished computers come with a one-year warranty.I am giving this a 2-star review simply because I contacted the seller last week and I still have not heard back (1-star for the inconvenience, 1-star for not hearing back, 1-star for causing me the extra expense of being down a computer). I will update the star rating once I hear back from the seller. I am hoping for their customer service to be great.UPDATE 1-17-23 I still have not heard back from the seller. The second computer (2/4) has stopped working. It was not even been a year since I purchased all four. The hard drive fell out of the blue. It was working find the day before yesterday.UPDATE 2-22-23 Amazon had informed me about a week ago they could not do anything for me and that I needed to contact HP customer service for support and replacement. When I called HP they stated my WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED BACK IN MAY 2019. Their 1 year warranty is not valid. I would avoid purchasing from this seller as he's never responded to my messages.
