What grit of sandpaper are these most like?

They're most like a medium/coarse grit. They dont harm your fabric because you aren't rubbing the fabric with them. They're on the back of the ruler and help you hold it steady. I wouldn't be without them .

Are these round Dritz Grips see-through? The picture looks like they're brown, but that could just be the background paper.

No they are not see through. They are light brown.. However on the back of a quilting ruler they are not very noticeable.

is ths product machine washable? Thank you

as far as I know this product is used on the back of quilting rulers when cutting fabric to keep the ruler from slipping while cutting with a rotary cutter. I have had satisfactory results. I have no idea why you would machine wash it.
