Only tool needed was a Allen wrench, which was supplied. Very easy to put together, took about 15 minutes. No damage to any parts of the table. The only thing I found strange was in the instructions, it suggested to install the shelf first than the top. I found that to be very cumbersome and not easy to do. I left the table top in the box, turned bottom facing up. Installed the legs into the slots provided, tightened the screws and than installed the shelf, bottom facing up. No where in the instructions did it mention how much distance from the top to install the shelf. I installed it 17 inches from the floor and that seemed to make for a very sturdy installation. Tightened all of the screws and it was done. Turned it over onto it's feet and both the shelf and top were perfectly level, I used a level to check it out. I have been using the table to make breads, pizzas. This is not a negative towards the table, but may be important to know for some. Kneading dough on the table is great, the table stayed in place and the surface was cool and did I did not have any problem with the dough sticking to the surface. What did become a problem is that when I used my Kitchen Aid mixer to make the dough, when I put the mixer on mid speed, as one expects, the mixer does jump around a little, ok a lot, and what happens is the mixer stayed in place, this was great, but the table was moving around on the laminated floor. So far I have not found a correction to this problem. Maybe someone will have a good suggestion. Anyway, glad I bought this table, after the holidays I will be buying a second one. I'd think even at the very top would be better than leaving it off. **Q: What is the gauge of the steel in this table?** A: I apologize. I said 16 gauge, but it’s more like 24 gage. It’s super tough to know exactly without a micrometer and the ends are rolled. I wouldn’t be hammering on it or doing any heavy duty wood/metal work on it. It can definitely hold a lot of pounds but when it’s placed on it. My nephew kind of let go too fast (didn’t gently) place a 120lb sewing machine on the top of this the other day and now it has the mount bolt impression haha but I still love it. It’s more for food and deli use but we’re using it as a flash drying station for t shirts when we cure our screen print orders. Our flash dryer isn’t blowing direct heat on it but when a standard shirt is on top and the flash dryer is doing it’s job, it’s blowing over 300 degrees. Huge size back splash is huge size its industrial level ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Damaged goods *by M***S on October 6, 2023* Updated review: After filing a complaint this table was replaced for us. No cost to us and we did not have to return the damaged product. The most disappointing factor was the issues with this table. The box it arrived in was not heavily damaged. The issues are the workmanship. The weld underneath is obviously flawed. Someone had to have seen the issues on this table yet they still boxed it up and shipped it out. I will update my review after the dispute is settled.
