Cosmos Silicone Soft Skin Protector Cover for MAC Magic Mouse & Magic Mouse 2 (Black)

Love this little mouse cover!! It fits more like a 'thin blanket' placed just over the mouse top with a very slight border around the edge. This allows a tiny strip of the mouse to show which is approximately 1/32" all around. Very easy to put on, it just clings to the mouse top (there's nothing sticky on the underside)...it's magic! If you don't get it right on your first try just peel it off and do it over..it took me 2X before I was satisfied. This cover looks great and adds color and personality to your setup. I loved the feel of it immediately! Although it's very thin, the cover manages to feel soft and somewhat velvety to the touch, for lack of a better word. I'll be wanting a bright new color well before this cover ever wears out and it's nice to know that it's preserving what's underneath it from looking worn or getting scratched. Great buy!

I was a bit wary of buying it for fear it would be a waste of money. To my surprise, it is a delightfully simple product that works as described. When I ordered it, I thought it would be a sticker, but I was happy to find out it’s just a thin piece of smooth rubber-like (silicone?) material that “sticks” to the mouse without any stickiness. It can be lifted and reapplied repeatedly - because there is no glue involved! It works perfectly to help me identify which mouse is connected to which computer and helps protect the mouse’s surface, while maintaining full functionality! Great purchase. Tried to find another in black, but it appears they are out of stock.

I personally do not like the apple coloring on their products so I always buy skins, covers, and cases to get the look that I like. This skin is PERFECT! It almost has a rubbery texture to it. There is no adhesive but it stays exactly where it should, it's like Magic!!! The gestures still function perfectly. It is extremely thin so it doesn't add any bulk to my magic mouse. It is a perfect fit. It took 4.4 seconds to install. If you don't have it right you just peel it up and reset. I didn't have any issues getting the bubbles out. Great product!!!

First, right off the bat one of the corners had a straight edge instead of being rounded. So I was immediately disappointed, but figured that the clipped edge was something I could get over, as I'm an easily pleased person and functionality means more than looks to me. Next I put the product onto my mouse. It is the right size (leaves about two millimeters on each edge of the mouse uncovered) and looks as described, although a bit less opaque than in the product's photo. But when I started using it, thinking that my reviewing of the product was already over, I ran into another disappointment. It feels so weird under my fingers! Scrolling and trying to glide my fingers across it is not a pleasant experience. The texture is just weird. The only good thing was that I only wasted five bucks! Yay! :(

Good quality mouse skin that is easy to apply. The silicone feels comfortable on fingertips and does not alter mouse tracking speed or precision in my opinion. Soft silicone is used medically in various forms for its skin healing properties in patients with wounds or scarring. It is considered safe, with no known systemic toxicity. So those of you with sensitive skin like myself may be less likely to develop a reaction to the material. Be aware that the silicone does attract dust or hair (for those with pets), but nothing that can't be easily cleaned off. I would recommend this product

It is an awesome solution if you do not want your magic mouse to get scratched. i have scratched mine because i have long nails(i am a female) and i love that the color matched my macbook pro shell case!:) it also fixes the super sensitive problem when using the magic mouse. very easy to clean as well...although the one i received was defective which had glue residue all over the skin, it doesnt affect my positive review of this product as it is a very good solution to avoid scratches and sensitivity one the MM.

It does exactly what it is supposed to do, it protects the mouse from scratches. My Magic Mouse was starting to get little hairline scratches, so I bought this because it was cheap and looked like it was functional. The rubber feels okay, although it attracts dust very easily which gives an uncomfortable scratchy feeling when using it, but it's at least easy to clean. It is fairly easy to put on and does look nice, giving the mouse a nice two-tone look as it doesn't cover the entire top surface, but does almost nearly. Although not perfect, this protector is fairly good and I would probably recommend it simply because of how cheap it is and because it does work in the end.

This worked absolutely perfectly for what I needed! I really wanted a black Magic Mouse but didn't want to pay an exorbitant price to get mine painted. Luckily I found this silicone cover and I'm glad I did. Super inexpensive and it was so easy to just slap on and change the color of my Magic Mouse instantly. I don't really mind that you can still see the white border of the mouse around the black silicone. I basically just wanted my keyboard and mouse to have a matching matte black color (which they now do). Would recommend this to anyone who wants a quick and inexpensive way to change their Magic Mouse color. It obviously feels a little different at first, almost like a really smooth suede but after one day I barely noticed and I started to actually prefer the feeling. The functions and touch surface isn't affected at all which amazed me.

The feel is really nice but drags when scrolling. The size is almost perfect but leaves a few millimetres around the edge so it doesn't fit my mac mouse exactly. I wish it came with covers for the side of the mouse as well.

When I bought this "skin" I thought I was buying something that slides or secured on the white part of the Magic Mouse covering the whole surface. Rather, it's a rubber skin that is cut out [too small] and sticks to the top part of the mouse but doesn't cover the whole thing. I titled the review Deceiving because the picture for the product shows what I thought was a before and after side by side picture. Rather its the mouse and then the skin laying flat next to it. the picture in this review shows what it looks like on, also literally everything sticks to it, dust, hair whatever... I have this at work, I work in a dusty dirty shop so it's bound to get dirty. I'm happy it wasn't too much money at least. And I am using it, so it's not a total waste... But if I worked in a nice office or professional environment I wouldn't want this on my mouse.
