The Fermostat allows you to create and use programs to control fermentation temperatures throughout the process. Programs consist of a series of temperature stages, each containing a start temperature, a stop temperature and a duration. Each stage can be either be a constant temperature or a can create a positive or negative temperature slope over a variable selected time-frame. The Fermostat has internal flash memory to allow for data logging as well as a removable storage slot to allow transfer of your data and programs to a PC for further analysis and to share with friends. This also allows for the external creation of programs to transfer to the Fermostat. Ohmbrew Automations will provide a Fermostat web tool to create, store, share and download programs. The Fermostat web tool will also allow for data analysis. The Fermostat predicts future temperature fluctuations based on previously collected data and adjusts the relay operation according to previously stored characterizations, minimizing temperature overshoot and oscillations. I contacted the company and got no return. Pretty sad actually. It worked great for two months. I really wished they would support their product. I guess I need to move on and purchase a quality product. My Johnson Controller temp controller I purchased years ago is still working great.******Update*******The company did get back to me. They helped me try a couple things in an attempt to try and fix it, which didn't work. So, they are taking the device back to either fix or replace. I am completely satisfied with their response and may have jumped the gun on my initial assessment, and I apologize. They are working on it but I expected a final production quality item and less beta testing in the operating software. That being said I do very much like the device. The interface between the profile management website and the device is not fully operational though. I recommend visiting the mfg management website myfermostat.com and viewing the support forms for more detail. The producer is committed and has good customer support but is limited in abilities to deliver on some promises of product. ### ⭐ Beautiful garbage.. what could have been... *by A***E on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on December 8, 2015* What could have been a great home brewing product started by a Kickstarter campaign has quickly become an unsupported item filled with buggy/glitchy software. The creator of this has responded to just 3 posts on the support forums in the past number of months. Firmware releases are aprox 5 months apart, which wouldn't be an issue except that the device is soo glitch it could benefit from more attention and new coding.My device ended up freezing not once, not twice, but three times during one batch in the fermenter, resulting in the heat being stuck in the ON mode and pushing my brew many degrees above/below normal while I sat at work helplessly watching the temperatures rise. Not sure yet if my brew was ruined or not, yet. I had to cool it, repitch new yeast and got my FG down to where I thought it would end. Time will tell.This device is an awesome device in theory with terrible execution and virtually 0 on going support. Save your money until they show they are serious about making the product.*Note the image attached is unrelated to the software of this product.
