Price: Check the price on the different colors. Right now the Red version costs almost fifty dollars than the Brown. These headphones are an absolute steal at $80ish, $120, not so much. That's a pretty big difference for something solely aesthetic. When I purchased them, the brown was the cheapest so it fluctuates if you're set on a particular color.Review:Sound: The sound quality is excellent. I'm not an expert but most of the professional reviews suggest these have great sound as do the users. What I noticed is that I could hear notes on the Star Wars theme, I'd never noticed before. These are the same quality as the over-ear version (much more expensive) without the sound dampening effects of having an on-ear headphone. The downside is that, they don't stop much background sound out so if you're in a loud environment or want to listen music at a low volume, you may hear environmental noises. I prefer to know if someone is knocking at the door, etc so I prefer headphones like this. If you turn it up, you can't hear much environmental noise.Fit: Some reviewers are complaining that if you have a big head, these headphones are too tight and uncomfortable. Well I have an enormous noggin and I concur, at least initially. I didn't find these very comfortable at first, particularly the on ear design. I stuck it out for a few weeks and either my head got used to them or the headphones relaxed and they feel very comfortable. They do have a break-in period though. The band is made from lightweight bendable metal so it's easy to loosen the tightness if you gently flex them.Practicality: What's the first thing to break on headphones? The cord, every time. It sucks having to throw away a set because the cord is shot. Well luckily the cord is interchangeable on the Momentums and right out of the box, it comes with two. I will say that after a few months the sound started to feel scratchy when I would move my head with the iPhone cord. I changed it with the regular cord and the sound was back to being crystal clear. I don't mind spending a few bucks on a cord. They do wear out and it's great you can change it in about 30 seconds.I'm very happy with these. If you don't care about the color, you can get a great deal.

I got these to replace a pair of Klipsch Image ONE Premium on-ear headphones which I bought about 9 months ago; the jack broke off when I bumped into it while getting out of my seat. I used these headphones all the time, so having another pair soon was a necessity.The first thing I will say about these headphones is that they are quite good looking. Red-black with white or silver accents is my personal favorite combination of colors; I use them a lot in my own design work and I think the colors complement each other well. The headphones look cool as well.--BUILD QUALITY AND INCLUDED ACCESSORIES--The construction of the headphones seems solid enough, and it comes with a case and a silky smooth carrying bag (fits inside the case). The frame is metal and the earpads are made from this Alcantara foamy stuff, which is really nice. I was a bit skeptical about foam, but this is not the typical cheap foam you might see on PC gaming headsets; it's pretty good stuff. It's very comfortable and I have yet to feel discomfort, despite wearing them for periods of 1-2 hours in my relatively short time owning them. The case isn't as hard as I might like it to be, being that I sometimes carry the headphones around in a backpack that's usually got heavy textbooks in it, but it's not a huge problem because I often times am either listening to my headphones or wearing them around my neck. Just note, if you are not good at preserving electronics (I'm notoriously bad about this), you might want to look at another pair or invest in a more rigid case.--SOUND--There is so much good about these headphones. The sound is stellar; after buying my Klipsch, I was mildly disappointed in the midrange and some of the highs produced when listening to certain genres of music. And this is to be expected from most lower-mid price range headphones. Bass is highly sought after and a lot of times, these lower-end headphones overdo it with fuzzy, low-quality bass which inexperienced listeners can mistake for quality sound output.-LOWS-The bass on these headphones is damn good. Very clean and controlled and doesn't drown out the other frequencies as much as my Klipsch did. My Klipsch were great, but these knock it out of the park.-MIDS-I'm not technically an audiophile, not really having the money to spend to acquire high-end technology; most of my use is in casual listening. That said, I can tell the difference between high and low-quality sound, and these headphones produce a solid midrange. Vocals are very pronounced in most of the music that I listened to, even more so for acoustic tracks, and many songs feel somewhat more "layered" compared to what I could hear before.-HIGHS-The high range is noticeably better than what my Klipsch set was capable of, on top of being more pronounced in general. Highs are clean and crisp and sound very nice across a variety of genres.--OTHER STUFF--A big thing I looked at when doing my research was the shape of the jack. Having broken my Klipsch due to the straight-style jack, having the L shape was pretty much necessary. The L-shaped jack for keeping your audio device in tight jeans pockets or places where the jack is being pressured in one direction or another. The L-jack on these headphones is also very small, so this is a huge plus for me.The headphones come with two cables, one with an inline play/pause/volume control, and one plain. Nice add if you ask me. To note: the second cable (without inline controls) does not have the L-shaped jack, and instead has the more common straight jack.Would definitely recommend for those who can manage the price. I think it's worth the $80 more that I paid for these than my Klipsch, but I'm very meticulous about sound quality. These headphones do not disappoint, and they are very deserving of their 4.5 star rating on Amazon.

I like the headphones at the price I got it for on Black Friday, A dollar above that and it loses a star (3-stars).This is my 2nd on ear headphone, the other being V-Moda M-80 which I got 2 years back (again on Black Friday for $129) which is still going strong without a single sign of wear and tear. I wanted another headphone for the convenience of not carrying my headphones over to work and was very inclined to get a 2nd pair of M-80 or upgrade to M-100 before I found this deal, looked at reviews and decided to give it a try. After using it for a week, I am slightly disappointed. Just slightly, because its unbeatable at the price I got it for.Sound:I am no Audiophile and I hardly understand music deeply though 1 thing I can clearly say is, M-80 nails it while Momentum is somewhere-near-but-not-there. They are heavier on bass than M-80 though M-80's sound is a lot more crispier. One thing that Momentum pulls off neatly are the lows. You can hear the low notes very clearly. Also, Sound isolation is a bit better than M-80, though don't expect complete noise isolation since these are On-Ear's.Overall, they are good but someone who is used to hearing M-80 will find it lacking. Bass is a little bit more for my taste and appears masked rather than natural, as it sounds in M-80.Comfort:This is where it completely loses to M-80. ITS NOT COMFORTABLE. I have been using it for over a week, still, it feels like its putting all its effort to squeeze my head (I have a medium sized skull, not too big, not too small). I am hoping it will loosen up in coming weeks but right now, its just a punishment after a couple of hours of hearing.Build Quality:Very good but it totally loses in the quality of cables to what M-80 provides (Kevlar reinforced cables with lifetime warranty). M-80's flaunt their superior build quality and while Momentum's are excellent looking aesthetically, and the cans are very well built, the cables are of disappointing quality.At this price, its a very good buy. Still, I would rather pay 20 bucks more and go for M-80

Sennheiser Momentum On-ear 1st GenerationFirstly, some might wonder as to why one would purchase the first generation Momentum On-ears as I have, when there is a newer and ostensibly upgraded second generation available. Yes, the newer ones do fold up (these don't) and have supposedly benefitted from some minor design and sound enhancements, but for the class of headphones these cans occupy, do the new ones bring enough to the table to justify the over $100 premium. I don't believe they do. As they are, these first generation Sennheiser Momentum on-ears, particularly in the ivory color-way, are as well built as they are aesthetically beautiful. Solid rivets attach the stainless steel frame to a suede and alcantara lined headband. Even though the headband might feel a bit hard to the touch, when it rests on your head actually remains quite comfortable. While the cans are quite light, their construction is rather solid and wouldn't hesitate to use these as my daily out-and-about headphones.If I have one annoyance it's with the proprietary 2.5mm twist and lock cable. Should you lose them, it's not like you can easily find another cable to replace them as most audio cables are of the 3.5mm variety. I also wish the cable was of the flat, tangle-free variety and better constructed, but that might not have suited the overall aesthetics of these retro-inspired headphones.One important thing to note about the cable is that it may be a little finicky when you attach them, leading to sound coming out of only one earphone. I've run into this issue a couple of times, but all I had to do was carefully reinsert the plug and make sure that I properly locked it into place.The clamping pressure is a bit high on these headphones, and after a while might cause a bit of discomfort to your ears, depending on how your own ears are shaped. In general, however, they are comfortable for shorter stints of wear.Most importantly, the sound quality, with the caveat that these are on-ear headphones, are quite outstanding. You won't get the sound isolation of over-ears or in-ear monitors, nor will you find as open or encompassing a soundstage. That said, the Momentums do provide a rich soundscape for what they are. Though the sound signature is somewhat V shaped and the mids are little recessed, the bass while emphasized aren't ridiculously booming and the highs are crisp without any harshness or sibilance. Each has definite presence without sounding unnaturally adulterated or over-emphasized, instead lending each track just a little extra excitement for a lack of a better word. Overall, the first generation Momentum on-ears are an easy recommendation as a beautiful piece of kit that sounds as good as it looks, and at under $100, a bargain.

These headphones are quality in every sense of the word. They are aesthetically gorgeous and sonically some of the best headphones I've ever experienced. From the metal headband frame to the soft ear pads and the sleek brushed metal look of the headphone cups, these are arguably the coolest looking and the best sounding headphones you can buy. I have a large head and the headband was too small. After about an hour or two of listening, I was in pain from the tightness of the headband and the pressure of the ear cups. I thought having small ears would be to my advantage with a pair of on-ear headphones; I was partially right. They fit my ears perfectly - but the headband for these was a shade too small for the headphones to be comfortable for daily wear. Anyone who has a bigger than average size head, caveat emptor. For the price, I should be able to listen to these for more than a few hours without pain. Sadly, they didn't work out for me and I was very sad to return them.TL;dr: If you have an average size head, these are your new favorite headphones. Those of you with a hat size 7.5 or up, pick something else.

I am no audiophile, but I know enough to give a decent consumer review. I used to own this awful pair of SkullCandy Hesh 2 headphones. I really needed an upgrade, so I did my research and these were a great price. I got the Sennheiser Momentum headphones for $99 and in my favorite color too. I listen to a lot of electronic music like EDM and pop. I love hip-hop and rap, but when I am studying, I like classical music. These headphones are known for being heavy on the bass, which is what I like. Any music with bass sounds amazing with these on. The sounds are crisp and when I listen to synths, I feel like I am lost in the music. I like laying in my bed and listening to my electronic music at night because I can hear everything so clearly. These headphones surprisingly work well with classical music too. I feel as if I am standing next to an actual piano or cello when I have these headphones on. When I listen to female vocalists like Adele, I am not so impressed. She has a deeper vocal range, so that could by why. On the other hand, listening to Leona Lewis is incredible. Her dynamics can really be heard with these headphones. Another thing about these are that they are incredibly well-built. The metal and stitching are beautiful and they are not too big on my head. These would not work for anyone with a large head, so you have been warned. The headphones come with a case, a bag, and two detachable cords. One cord has buttons on it that apparently only work for iPhones and iPads, which I am not too happy about. I own an s4 and my next phone will be a Nexus 6, so I will not switch to another OS for the sake of these headphones. The other cord is a regular one, which is what I use. A cool feature about these headphones if that the headphone jack has a lock on it, you just turn it to the right, so when you accidentally yank the cord, it doesn't come out. The thing about on-ear headphones is that they might feel a little uncomfortable. I don't feel extreme amounts of discomfort with these, but my ears do feel a little sore after two hours of listening. My ears never get hot though, which is a plus about on ear headphones. I do not like the sound leaks though, so when I am in the computer lab or in a library, I keep my volume low. When I am walking in crowded places, I am guessing that others can hear the music when I pass them briefly, but it blocks noise surprisingly well. All in all, these are stylish, heavy on the bass, clear-sounding, sturdy, and comfortable. Probably the best purchase I have made this year.

I had a specific function I wanted these headphones to perform and they absolutely nailed it. The headphones had to perform well under the following conditions1. Hear my podcasts and music while walking about near traffic and outside noise. For this I needed good sound isolation, but not complete, as I wanted to be aware of my surroundings. I wanted voices to be heard clearly, especially during podcasts that had lots of details like Serial or during an Audiobook. I also wanted the music to sound lively when in the presence of traffic noise.2. While playing modern games with accurate depiction of sound and game dialogue and where I could also chat clearly and hear my fellow game players while in party mode. For this I wanted good sound clarity across the sound spectrum with particularly good bass to bring life to my games. I had played games with more audiophile like headphones where the sound was just too flat to be interesting and engaging.3. Control my iPhone via the line remote. This is a simple request but I didn't want something without an inline mic.4. Be portable with excellent design and styling. I didn't want large ear muff looking headphones around my ears while walking around. Especially since it gets warm here. Being portable, they also needed to stay on my head when moving about.5. I had to be able to get the headphones for less than $200 (I bought some used)I tried the following headphones alongside these; V-Moda XS, Sennheiser Momentum Over-Ears, Philips Fidelio L-1, Sony MDR-1R, Bowers & Wilkins P5.In the end it came down to the V-Moda XS, The Momentum On Ears, the Momentum Over Ears, and the B&W P5s. I found the Momentum On-Ears to be the best of the bunch. They had my favorite sound signature, especially when playing games and listening to stuff out and about. They don't have the best sound, I would say the Sony MDR-1R are the best sounding, but within the job that they are hired to do, items 1-5 above, they are the best. They are easily by favorite sounding on-ear headphones I have heard, and that includes others outside of the ones listed above. I also love the look of these.If I could change anything, it would be to have the ear pad cushioning softer (although I've heard that they get softer over time, which seems to be true) and I would have them be fold-able, although the look and design would be compromised.I've seen reviews out there ranking other on-ear headphones above these but to me, I preferred the sound of these the most. The bass can be intense at times, but I don't listen to a lot of bass heavy music anyway. Other headphones were too thick sounding, or congested, or they lacked punch, or they were too flat and analytic.The sound of these are like clearer sound Bose headphones if that makes sense. Bose prides itself on having sound that appeals to music not to engineers, but I find that they sometimes have sound that's too fuzzy sounding on the low end with too little detail. These are like what Bose headphones should be.They isolate a perfect amount in my opinion. People who like lots of isolation won't like these, for that, I think the Over Ear version is better. But I can still hear my audio just fine even with big rigs driving by me.Close second was the B&W P5s, which I really like a ton (Series 2 only), but were $100 more expensive than these and didn't quite sound as good to me, although they do sound excellent.I ended up also keeping the Sony MDR-1R because I love the sound. They sound better than all of these headphones but they aren't that portable, so they failed item 4 above. I use them to listen to music and I particularly like their mellow, relaxed presentation.I hope this review was helpful.

My headphone stable includes the likes of Sennheiser HD600's, Beyerdynamics DT-880's and AKG Q701's powered by Amps from Schiit, Nuforce, and Little Dot, so one might question why I would get so much enjoyment out of these Momentums. The fact is, these are some fun little headphones if you use them for what they were designed for. Head over to iTunes, Spotify, or Google Play Music and look at what’s mostly topping the pop charts these days, or drop into a club and listen to what the DJ’s are playing; you’ll understand the the type of music that these phones sound the best with. Classical, Jazz, Singer-Songwriter, Adult Contemporary your style; then there are much better options out there. Drake, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, Zedd, David Guetta, Astrix; you will probably really like these. These headphones weren’t designed and tuned to be audiophile headphones, they were set up to play back today’s popular music.The efficiency of these headphones is excellent, meaning they can play loud with much less power (like what you’d get from a phone, tablet, or laptop). The bass can hit plenty hard (try Astrix “High on Mel”), though it can’t always reach as deep as I’d prefer and sometimes falls off too soon. However, I noticed that the more I used them, the better the lows sounded. The highs roll off pretty quickly too, but the mids are well represented, and for a headphone with a “DJ Tune” these Momentums sound excellent. I’ve found the imaging to be pretty decent as well (for a set of closed phones). The build quality is top notch, and I like all the available colors and different materials used. They can feel a little tight after a while, which is to be expected for on-ear headphones, but the clamping force will soften up a bit as you use them, and you can always relax them by working the headband a bit. It’s important that you angle the cups properly and place them on your ears/head correctly. The discomfort level can really take off quickly if you don’t wear these properly on your head. The material used for the cups is very soft, never itchy, and has never made me sweat. I use Android phones, so I can’t speak to the function of the remote (I believe it will have limited function with an Android), and if I did have one gripe with many of the Sennheiser phones I have used, it’s that the chords seem to stay kinked forever. I appreciate the included bag and soft-case, but since the headphones don’t fold up, the overall package is rather large for an on-the-go headphone.If you use these Momentums with a laptop/desktop computer you can really make them sing with an external DAC/headphone amp. I use mine mostly with my Pixel, and when I run them through my NuForce uDAC-3 the sound is very impressive. In the end; for the buck-twenty I paid for these they were a great investment.

This is not my first Sennheiser product and i have always been satisfied with the sound quality of my HD 459's and Hd 203's, so to cut it short if its great sound you're looking for you're at the right place.The packaging is great and Amazon's delivery was awesome as always.When i first heard that Sennheiser was making an over ear variant of the famous Momentum's i was skeptical. I've never been fond of over ears but these changed my perspective. These are hands down some of the finest pair of headphones that i own for the price. The fitting is comfortable, the quality is great and the sound is amazing. I can not travel without these.Buy them without hesitation. I have owned a pair of beats solo in the past and trust me these sound way better. If youre looking for over the top bass then you wont get it here, but if you want quality bass with enough oompf and amazing mids and treble then look no further. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this to anyone.

Primer detalle.A primera vista se aprecia la calidad de construcción y materiales así como su gran diseño. Para mi los auriculares mas bonitos y con más estilo del mercado.En cuestión de sonido, llaman la atención los graves y los matices, que con otros de menor calidad se pierden. En general tienen un sonido fuerte y envolvente con bajos pronunciados. El volumen es correcto sin distorsionar.Son ligeros y cómodos, sobre todo si no tienes las orejas muy grandes, pero al cabo de un par de horas pueden resultar algo molestos (como todos los "on ear"). En mi caso aisla muy bien el sonido exterior y se adaptan perfectamente sin apenas moverse por mucho que gires la cabeza.El control supongo que es funcional 100% en dispositivos de apple, en android solo funciona la tecla de pausa y el micrófono.Y de momento poco más que destacar. Seguiré disfrutando de ellos

One of the best sounding headphones I have ever had the pleasure to listen to. Honestly speaking I wasn't expecting much from these headphones as much as they are hyped. So here it goes, a long read. Thank you for reading.Research:A buy for an expensive headphone involves tonnes of research. And likewise, I spent two months looking for some of the best headphones out there, after finally deciding that Bluetooth headphones were more gimmick than function. I had shortlisted these momentums, the ATH M50x, Sony MDRs, Logitech and of course Bose (because everyone shortlists Bose). Looked at many reviews but some of the most helpful were the ones from InnerFidelity, TrustedReviews, Amazon.com customer reviews and some YouTube reviews. The toughest decision was between the ATH M50s and Sennheiser Momentums. This is where the InnerFidelity and TrustedReviews, gave a decisive judgment. This pretty much settled it for me. I did try out the Bose Soundlink on-ear headphones at their store, and more than the sound I loved the comfort they offered. But at Rs 21k, and no real online sale in India, I gave that a pass.The last and final confusion was among the various Sennheiser momentum models you will find on Amazon, Flipkart with varying prices. The most recent version of Momentums have leather pads and foldable hinges. These will set you back by 20k, and the wireless versions by a 30k. But I couldn't find these here for some odd reason. The good news is that the sound signature is 95% the same between the old and the new version, and unless you are a music connoisseur you wont notice the difference.Deal: Stay vigilant on Amazon, as these Momentums are almost out of production to make way for the newer momentums. On one such deal days, Amazon was offering this for 5800, and with an SBI cash back, I scored these for 4700. Best deal ever !! Thank you Amazon.Sound review:I'll keep it simple and easy to understand. Listen to "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons, and you'll hear the sound tearing. Not because there is something wrong with the headphones, but that's how the artist wanted it to sound. Rookie mistake. Move on to this particular track from Evanescene "Bring me to Life", 11 seconds into the sound, a bass note plays which is ridiculously hard for most headphones I have ever heard to reproduce. These momentums, don't just pass the test, they blow it out of the water. You can hear the note play, sustain and slowly fade away at exactly the right times. Apart from this, some hip hop tracks don't go *dhup dhup dhup*, instead they go "dhum dhum dhum". The p-m transition gives a fantastic feel to the music, and makes it more alive.Over to the treble, playing a few lovely songs like Carnival of Rust, My Own prison lead you to hear more closely to the string sounds. Instead of TWANG, they go twanggggg, subtle and sustained with the notes incredibly clear. Indian songs especially sound the loveliest thanks to their beautiful instrument spectrum. The vocals are exactly at the right volume for you to enjoy the melody as well as the lyrics. For most genres, the sound reproduction is brilliant, it wont hurt your ears or sound dull.If you are concerned about how loud these are, you don't have to worry. On any standard iOS device, at about 75% of the volume these sound loud enough to most people with difficult hearing. Turning it up further would only ruin your ear drums. So watch out.Build:The construction is excellent and very sturdy. The metals don't feel cheap, are easy to work with. The fabric trips on the head is ok and the fabric ear pads may polarize most people. Some love it, and some absolutely don't. You'll probably get used to it. The detachable cable and a spare that come along with the box are better than what Sennheiser provides with its cheaper models. Just the right thickness. The device comes with a lovely pouch and a soft case. They don't fold, which will be an annoyance as they take up a lot of room in your average laptop bag. Don't even think about carrying these in your ladies purse or a sling bag. About them controls - I was initially skeptical. Made no sense that they had to be that big and so distracting on the cable. But now that I have been using it, those bigger keys are very comfortable, and the metal housing gives me the confidence that they wont break like most other headphones I have used.Comfort:Right. I think this is where the Sennheiser probably scores lower than other categories. After testing the Bose SoundLink, these feel immature. The clamping force is not hard as the Beats, but they are still a bit hard for those with ears that stick out more. The pads do heat up as you listen to music and they will get uncomfortable after 20 minutes or so. But this isn't a lasting damage, a quick 40 second break will get your ears airy again and you are good to go. Been using this for over a week now, and I am beginning to get used to it. its not as bad as it feels the first time.Note: There is some sound leak. So if you work in an office with open cubicles and silent colleagues, then they will notice the sound if you turn up the volume to 65%. You can only hope that they are distracted with a phone call or someone is always speaking around you for the distraction to go unnoticed.Conclusion:9.2/10 for sound, because we are stingy people and always believe that there is room for improvement :P7/10 for comfort, cause I have those bat ears and my cartilages are just beginning to get along nicely with these. Wish I had leather replacements for those pads.9/10 for build quality and design. Those sliders man. Can adjust in mm's. Wish they folded like the new model10/10 for the pricing. Even at 8k these are a steal. its impossible to get such a good sound for so less.If you are the kind of listener who needs an awesome pair of headphones to enjoy music/movies at home, work then go for these. They aren't very travel friendly, and lets not kid ourselves (on-ear, over-ear aren't travel friendly anywhere in India). Don't go gyming with these, as they aren't up for the sweat challenge, but I promise they wont fall off.Hope this was helpful.

この製品のことを知って、高級といわれるヘッドホンの入門として購入してみました。中古の半額ながら、非常にいい状態であるとのことでドキドキしながらポチッと入札。今配達されたのを受け取って、はじめて聞きながらこのレビューを書いています。製品の状態はほとんど新品でカバーもかかっており、　ひょっとして使っていなかったのでは？　と思うほど使用感は全くありませんでした。側圧もちょうどよく調節の幅も大きいのですっぽり耳にかぶさってくれ、オンイヤー特有の耳の形にとらわれず遮音性も高いです。イヤーパッドの質感も気持ちいいので長時間聞いてても疲れず、小さいので携帯するのにもよいです。音を聞いた最初の感想は「ん？」 しかしそれは耳が今まで使っていた安物の；いやほんもどき；に慣れすぎていたせいで、聞いていくうちにだんだんと霧が晴れたような感覚で音の輪郭がはっきりしてきました。キミ最初からそこにいたの？とゆうような音の発見がたくさんあり、バックコーラスのかすかなささやき声やわずかな楽器の音も聴き分けられ、今まで安いものを使って満足していた時間がもったいなく感じられました。買ってほんとに良いと思わされる製品は今までそう多くはありませんでしたが、これはその数少ない一つとなりました。この製品に限らずですが、、、これから高級ヘッドホンを買うか迷っている方へ、よいヘッドホンは本当に世界が広がる体験を味わえます。数枚諭吉でそれが手に入るなら高くはない私にそんな断言までさせるこの製品は、本当に良いものだなと思います。
