Image quality was poor and even though I am technically inclined, I couldn’t get it to work with Dexis fully. It will connect and manual photos can be taken but the capture button never worked. That means you need two people to capture an image to maintain infection control protocols. You’ll probably end up having to bite the bullet and buy one of the expensive cameras.

The camera and supplied software work great. The provided disposable plastic covers/sleeves cause the image to blur/fog. I substituted plastic sandwich baggies to get clear pictures/videos.

Based on the recommendations of a friend I bought this camera. So far pretty happy with it, good ease of use, easy to install, well-written user manual. Picture quality is pretty good, free software is not great, but OK. I have 2 Sopro cameras that I paid a lot of cash. You can probably buy 20 of these FocusDent MD740 cameras for the same price as one Sopro. I will buy additional FocusDent units on Amazon and install in every one of my operatories. Highly recommend for it’s price, simplicity and image clarity!

Ordered December 18th and it didn’t last two months. Emailed seller and I received a very condescending response. “No hassle” replacement is not true. Don’t waste your money with this camera. Get a mouthwatch instead.

Very good camera, simple to install and use. The picture quality is excellent and the item was delivered on time. Will pay for itself within the first day :)

The camera is great quality for the price as has been mentioned previously- I used for the first time to take photos during and following a root treatment and the images of within the pulp chamber are clear. The only major con is the software is pretty poor. It crashes regularly and would not use it to store the images, I had to screen shot the image and then import into our radiograph software.

Einfach zu bedienen, einfach zu installieren, günstiger Preis, Bildqualität ist akzeptabel für die Preisklasse Man kann die Kamera auch weiterempfehlen.

Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sucht seinesgleichen. Ich benutze mittlerweile 3 Stück davon in meiner Praxis. Sie funktionieren sehr gut mit der Kodak Röntgensoftware - einzig der Auslöseknopf (wie bereits in vorigen Rezessionen beschrieben) funktioniert nicht mit der Kodak SW (man löst stattdessen am Rechner in der SW aus). Die beiliegende SW habe ich kurz ausprobiert, ist sicher kein progammierisches Meisterstück, würde aber auch seinen Dienst verrichten. Da ich so allerdings die Bilder direkt in meine vorhande Rö-Bilder- Datenbank integrieren kann brauche ich die mitgelieferte SW nicht - wirklich Plug& Play! Bildqualität ist auch gut. Alles in Allem ein super Gerät, würde ich jederzeit wieder kaufen.

Anfangs ganz gute Bilder, aber offensichtlich ist die Kamera nicht wasserdicht, mach ca 1 Woche wurden die Bilder zuerst unscharf und dann völlig verschwommen.

Die Zahnkamera kann man nicht sofort klar als gut oder schlecht hinstellen, da sie beides ist. Vom Grunde ist sie nichts anderes als eine "billige" USB-Kamera mit Zusatzbeleuchtung. Wir sollten sie also nicht überbewerten. Da das Ding in China keine 10,- kostet, ist der Preis von 169,- mehr als überteuert. Nun das Pro und Kontra. Gut: Vom groben ist die Kamera und die USB-Kabelage wertig aussehend und kein klabbriger Spielkram. Das Licht ist hell, die Bilder wirken gut und durchaus verwendbar, sind aber nicht sehr gut. Schlecht: Die Auflösung des Videos was sie erzeugen kann ist nur 640x480 und ist auf dem Monitor gerade mal nur geringer als Postkartengröße. Die Software ist unter aller Sau. Sie ist absolut primitiv, fast wie von Behinderten erstellt, enthält massiv RS-Fehler und ist auch nicht wirklich durchdacht. Schüler können da besser programmieren. Gerade mal dass ich bis jetzt die Video- Capture-Funktion finden konnte. Mühsam fand ich dann auch das Live-Bild wenigstens während des Filmens, also dass man nicht nur Video aufnimmt, sondern dass man auch sehen kann was man aufnimmt. Die Fotoauflösung soll angeblich doppelt so hoch sein, ich hoffe ich finde sie noch. Der Abstand vom Zahn ist 1cm bis max 3cm, sonst wirds unscharf, wäre aber damit gerade verwendbar. Auch dass der Verkäufer lediglich die Fragen beantwortet, mehr schlecht als recht, ist miserabel oberflächlich und halbherzig, da die Fragen auch nicht wirklich beantwortet werden. Es wird meist irgend was geschwafelt, ist aber Unrat an der Frage vorbei. Da man all das wichtige in die Produktbeschreibung hinein setzt, nämlich einerseits um sich den berechtigten Zorn der vergnatzten Käufer zu sparen und damit man mehr halbwegs zufriedenere Käufer hat und weniger die es aus Frust kurzerhand gleich wieder zurücksenden. Aber dazu sollte man mehr als nur von der Wand bis zur Tapete denken. Eine Kunst die viele nicht mehr beherrschen. Da die Kamera grundlegend verwendbar ist, aber viele Unausgereiftheiten hat, bekommt die Software 0,5 Sterne, die Hardware 4 Sterne, somit insgesamt auch nur 2 Sterne.

Wirklich gute Bilder zum sensationellen Preis. Leider ist die Software zur Archivierung nicht besonders gut. Ich empfehle die Kamera als hervorragendes tool in der Prophylaxe. Meine Mundhygienikerinnen sind begeistert.
