Good length, uneven toasting
It's got a usefully long slot. None of them are deep enough. Seems they assume ISO standard toast which we don't have much of in this country. Only gripe is that it doesnt toast too evenly, some areas darker than others.

Excellent for irregular sized slices
I bought this as I mainly use bread which is not a standard size and won't fit in toasters with regular slots. This machine has two slots that are very wide and also very very long so no issues with large sized bread. It toasts quickly and evenly - I've so far used it for bread and crumpets. If it had a bagel function it would be even better. Looks good too.

How this is rated so highly is beyond me?!
Although this toaster looks great and mechanically it's been sound, it's terrible. Unfortunately this arrived at nighttime after the supper had been made and I binned/destroyed the box in anticipation of using it the following morning. Otherwise it would have been sent back. There are two main issues. The toasting capacity and toasting control.Firstly the main issue is capacity. There's not even enough depth to toast a bagel. If you use something like Warburtons bread, be prepared to stop the toast half way through and rotate the bread 180°. Otherwise the top 1.5" won't be toasted. It's not as if these slices are particularly wide either. And that means instead of doing 4 slices, you can only do two slices at a time and both slices need to be put in twice with them manually being stopped and rotated half way through.Lastly the toasting function is unpredictable. First toast of the day can be great, under toasted or burnt.I really wouldn't recommend this to anyone

Good points and bad points
Good points - long slots are very useful. Toasts evenly. Works fine.Bad points - lightweight and plasticky, no facility to push up the toast to check it whilst it’s on; you have to press cancel button and then start again. It’s shiny - looks and feels rather cheap. But hey, it does toast bread. I don’t keep it on display

Four slice two slot toaster.
I wanted a moderately priced toaster and this had a small discount on it, so I brought it.I was happy with the price and what it does. It has a 'browning' setting for the level of toasting wanted.I like the fact that toaster has room for 4 slices of bread, but they are toasted in two slots not four, as in some toasters. This enables slices cut from larger loaves to be toasted or it can even be used for warming nan bread.

A very good toaster for the money
I wasn't sure whether this toaster would be particularly good quality as it was such a reasonable price, but I'm happy to say it appears to work brilliantly, is simple to operate, and looks very smart on my worktop. The bread toasts very quickly and you have a choice of how dark you wanted it to be toasted. My only criticism, for which I've knocked off one star, is that it isn't quite tall enough to take two standard slices of bread side by side in the same section; the tops of the slices stick out of the toaster by about half an inch. This is cured by putting the bread in on its side so that it toasts fully, but there is only room to put one slice in each of the two sections, so if you want to toast four slices, it has to be used twice. But it does the job very quickly, so this isn't really a problem. Otherwise, an excellent unit.
