My Little Pony Retro Coloring Book

HUGE book, with lots to keep my hands busy. I really wish they’d make more “retro” coloring books with the girly images I loved as a kid, but with quality illustrations and paper for adults. I thought at first the price was a bit steep, but I would gladly pay again for similar books. Individual page themes, patterns, wide two-page designs, and midnight-style dark pictures... this has something for every mood. Pages are a decent thickness with a nice smooth texture, but the dual sided pages would make me cautious to use inks in this book or any medium without a blotter page under. I will use with this book pencils exclusively.

Tons of pages of original G1 My Little Ponies, what's not to love? There's a couple in there with my birth pony, June Rose. It captures a variety of earth ponies, pegasus, and unicorns. No Big Brother, sea ponies, flutters, or babies. Also no Dream Castle, Lullabye Nursery and the like. Just lots of fun geometric shapes and designs and fun ponies to color. Also features a cute page of cutie marks.

Childhood nostalgia

I really like this coloring book, I did not grow up with retro My Little Pony (G1). I grew up with G4, however, I enjoy this coloring book because I can color the ponies however I chose to. 10/10 recommend! 😊

I was so excited to find this retro coloring book! Totally reminds me of my childhood. Super relaxing and fun to use.

I grew up with the original MLP, and I love this book. Very fun and nostalgic. Only complaint is how much black there is. So many of the ponies’ markings (I think they call them cutie marks now?) are solid black or nearly so. It’s a bit disappointing because I’m the nerd who wants to color all of them accurately. And Firefly’s lighting bolts, Surprise’s balloons… these aren’t shapes so complicated that making them solid is just “easier”. That said, I’m still loving it.

I collect coloring books (especially vintage cartoon ones) and have been waiting for this book for months! Held true to gen 1 art! Love it! Like the other review, I wished more pony types like sea, flutter, brothers were represented. Perhaps vol. 2?? Love that there are so MANY diffrent pages. Perfect for fans of adult coloring books or even children to use.The only drawback is that while the book is sturdy, the pages are a tad bit thin and there are images on the other side (like most books and coloring books this is practical from an economic sense to save money and allows for more images). I would not recomend using markers because they will bleed through. I personally do not color in my coloring books. Instead, I rather copy them on a copier and be able to continue using the book forever. I am also planing to purchase another.

I'm 46 and bought this for myself! I love to color and this book is perfect! The pages are nice and thick and the prints are so beautiful. I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND.IT SHIPPED VERY FAST AS WELL.

So many hours of happy, amusing colouring! I especially love how true the art style is to the original 80's ponies. The are is beautiful and all original, not like some of the other 80s colouring books on amazon which are cheap copies.
