Yoolax Smart Solar Shades, Flame Retardant Motorized Blinds with Remote

I did a lot of research before ordering my blinds and Yoolax blinds had the best price for motorized (plug in) blinds with wifi controls. I first ordered one blind to see how it would work for me, and was very surprised by the professionalism of the seller. They reached out to me via email to reconfirm all dimensions of the blinds before putting them in production. The blinds were shipped promptly and arrived as promissed. The blind was very well packaged. When unboxing, it feels like a higher end consumer product with a proper full color manual, a jacket around the blind and very clear and detailed instructions. Not your typical product from China. The blind worked as expected, and the wifi control was easy to setup and easy to link to Alexa. When I had an unexpected problem with the blind, the seller immediately offered to send a replacement, but I was able to resolve the problem by performing a reset and everything was fine. I since ordered 5 more blinds and everything went great just like the first time, with prompt support/assistance being offered when I mistakenly ordered the wrong fabric on one of them. I do not yet know how they will last long term, but so far I am very happy with my purchase.

I bought 3 grey solar shades to install side by side over a large double sliding door. Once confirmed, the seller shipped it out within 3 days. The shipping took another 2 weeks which is not bad considering we are under global shipment blockage. The shade fabric, the hardware, the valance and the remote are of good quality. The Installation was really straight forward. Took maybe 10 mins per shade. The programming took a bit longer because I was trying to follow the video. DON'T watch the video. Once I find the instruction booklet, the programming is straight forward. I programmed all 3 shades on to the same remote and it was MAGICAL to open and close with a single click. I charged up all 3 shades and plan to charge them about once a month. The USB extension cord is a must buy. But I think any usb extension cord should do. If you butt more than 1 shade together, if both ends have no motors, the gap between the shades is about 0.5 inch. If one end has a motor, the gap increases to ~ 1.5 inch. Make sure you only order and install with the non motor sides together. I checked some other so called US based window treatment stores. They are either Mexican or Chinese made anyway. Why not go straight to the source and save more? Now I feel bougie everyday looking at my beautiful shades and impressing my guests knowing that I didn't spend much at all. I will definitely buy more for the rest of my house.

Good bits first: So far, once I got the remote working, everything is great. Amazon asked me to rate "sheerness" not sure what they mean as I didn't want a sheer. But, this has a nice translucence while blocking the bright sun. Operation is smooth, and it is easy to add set points. Obviously, for the price it can't be beat in the market currently. Now, some thoughts. This is not a "don't buy this" review, more like "keep this in mind and read the description carefully." The SMART motor only works with certain Alexa devices - check the description. I don't have Alexa but thought I needed the SMART motor to do any home automation integration. You actually don't, for most home automation you are going to need a separate hub. The reason I recommend against the SMART right now is that there are no installation videos, etc. available yet. Maybe soon they will have one. It has a different remote that is not a generally available and easy to find remote. The REMOTE motor comes with a remote that you can find elsewhere. This was frustrating for me as I had a problem with my remote which made it very hard to do the initial sync, and I couldn't find anything online about the remote I have. Being completely fair to Yoolax they have offered to send a replacement if my problems persist, but it took me two days to diagnose and thought I might have to send back the whole thing just because of the remote. My shade is 6 feet wide, I hung it myself but it took a lot of effort. Highly recommend if you are doing wide to have a helper present. I wasn't really thinking about the weight and had to mount this higher than I wanted in order to use more hanging brackets. My initial idea was to have the shade below the top jamb but this was dumb on my part, the shade is too heavy to only be supported at the ends with the included hardware. I guess you could custom make some brackets if you wanted to do it this way. All this to say that if you are doing an "outside mount" the only good option will be to hang above the jamb, so size accordingly. As with all customized things that are purchased online, do your work ahead of time, don't guess and think you can adjust.

STOP, I DEARLY WANT TO bring your attention, I am not paid to write this ad, at all ! But let me tell you, from all the companies online, from the expensive blinds to the discount places, YOOLAX bluffed us , from Day one. First I had questions, they replied to every question in no time. Second, my windows are at 32 feet high, I did not want to spend $10000 in electricity to plug my blinds ... YOOLAX , came up with the idea to use their solar panels (sold separately), and THEY WORK ! 3, we picked the grey see through, so we could keep the natural light, people can see us , and now we are protected from. the heat and cold. Everything was delivered at the exact promessed day! The guys who installed my blinds were amazed by the quality and took pic for future referral. To the entire team of yoolax, you win. I am ordering my entire blinds with you, no one else. The only thing is the remotes gets here with no batteries, apparently they are forbidden by custom. when the installer came, I wanted to try my blinds before they leave. So I rushed out to a Walgreen buy a "2450" flat find large coin type battery. yoolax I know your booklet to explain how the blinds to Alexa is not ready and you were franck about that but I cannot wait to get it . I will post a review in one year for follow up You made our lives easy, elegant and saved us $$$$$$$$ . I was asked by a famous company $8500 for all my windows and the new solar panels , they had to be installed only by their guys etc... when I will be done with my windows by Yoolax I will be saving $ $5500 huge huge difference.

Arrived on time, as ordered! Easy to install and program and I don't think there's a product out there that matches this in value. Hopefully the motor lasts as advertised, will update after a few weeks use! After about a months' use, the first set still going strong, hasn't needed a recharge yet! Have ordered other sets, first impressions still stand. Upgrading to 5 ***** Important addition is the Broadlink Band and connection to Alexa, to open and close blinds! Would recommend for the DIY'er, not too difficult but would not recommend for y Mom!

We bought 2 of these to cover our massive slider in May 2022. I wanted to wait a year or so to give a review so I could speak from a lot of use. These shades are great looking. They’re relatively quiet, and the battery lasts months. I am currently charging them up for the 3-4th time since we installed them. They arrived in a timely manner, and were exactly what we ordered. If you’re on the fence about these, hop off and buy them. These are amazing. We are actually about to purchase another one for a another large window.

My 5th order! Still good but quality not perfect. Connecting to Yoolax home app is painful , same with Amazon Alexa, individual shades keeps disconnecting and not recognized in Yoolax app. Nobody mentions that you need to link Amazon account to Yoolax first. Still expensive but make good addition to smart home once connected

I’ve now ordered 10 of these shades/blinds. They were very good on communication once you order. You just verify your measurements before they are made and shipped. Once’s verified they are quick to ship(1-2 weeks not bad for custom). Tips for Alexa integration: 1) Make sure you get the smart battery option. 2) Make sure you have a compatible Alexa. The pairing to Alexa is easy, follow the YouTube video, 4 quick clicks, one long, then ask Alexa to discover devices. Here is where I got confused. Alexa found the shades, but when I clicked on them in the Alexa app, there wasn’t an option to raise or lower them. You need to create a Routine in the app. When this happens, smart home, all devices, select your blind. I have it set on a schedule. Hope that helps.
