I have been taking Nature's Way AM/PM Perimenopause pills for almost 2 years now and I honestly don't think I could have the quality of life I do now, without them. Before I started taking them, the hot flashes, the mood swings, the impatience-it was getting to be too much and was at times, just completely overwhelming. I felt out of control and hopeless. I had a hysterectomy several months ago at the age of 33 for health reasons, but kept my ovaries. My doctors informed me that my hormone levels were "normal" even though they were barely out of menopausal range. I had ALL the symptoms-- trouble sleeping, hot flashes, exhaustion, irritability-- like PMSing ALL the time. A friend recommended these and I was hesitant, but while waiting to get in to a specialist, I figured it was worth a try. It works GREAT. Within a couple weeks I felt better. It didn't fix everything, but all I had to do was go on a trip overnight and forget my PM and AM dosage-- it took almost 3 days to get back to where I was beforehand. So, I'm 43 and started feeling "weird" about 6 months ago. Hot flashes, anxiety, weight gain... I went to my doctor and they ran a blood test, but my levels came back "normal". I switched to this supplement after being on another brand for about 6 months. I was surprised at how much better my body reacted to this supplement after such a short time. I was still having bad night sweats and horrible insomnia with the other brand, but this has been helping with the night sweats occurrences. Still no help on the inspmnia, but I hope it will eventually help with that too. My only complaint is the horrible smell and taste!! I received my package on a day that I was watching my grandbabies and went ahead and took the morning supplement then and there. The smell was so bad that I thought one of my poor babies had soiled themselves or had really bad gas. I'm on week 3 and am still not used to either and even though it has helped a little more than my last brand, I'm not sure if I can get myself to purchase more. I may have to try another one of their products or another brand because I just can't stand it. I admire all of you that have been able to push on and continue taking these... I'm just a whimp, I guess.
