Essential for EVERY pale person.
This stuff is absolutely FANTASTIC! I shall start off by saying that I am *extremely* pale. For people as white as me, there are only a few cosmetic brands that carry light enough foundation, and they are around $30~$50, or higher. Not an option for me. I am on a very tight budget. So I read the reviews for this, and discovered it is to be mixed with foundation to make it paler. I mix it to about a 50/50 ratio with my foundation, sometimes I do more white toner than foundation when I want to look a little more pale (I love to look very pale). On it's own, it's on the runny side. But it dries to a matte finish, and won't slide around or transfer when you touch it. That can change when mixed with foundation, depending on how your foundation works. Also, it's water based, and not greasy. And it agrees very well with even the oiliest acne prone skin like mine! Not only can it be used with liquid foundation, I even use it with a heavy coverage stick foundation, I just put some of the stick foundation on my face, then I apply the same amount (or more) of the white, and then spread it on my face until it's blended. Then I finish it off with a matte face powder. It ends up looking flawless and very porcelain. It's absolutely lovely! I think it could be used on it's own, I'm not sure since I haven't tried it that way, but it's quite sheer by itself and so I think it would only give a subtle ghostly look, not a stark white look like a white cake makeup. I swear this has saved my life!!!! I love being ghostly white, so simply making do with something too dark was NOT an option. I wanted to find something to help me embrace how pale I am and this has made my wish come true! If you are super pale, BUY THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will not regret it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes! Perfect Mixer!
I am very pale. Most high-end foundations do not carry a shade light enough for me (those that do are priced at levels akin to purchasing an expensive piece of kitchen equipment, and I do not have the means/desire to pay such prices for cosmetics). I have yet to find a single drugstore foundation that is pale enough. I've searched for pure white foundations in the past, but Ilimasqua, MAC, and Makeup Atilier are all outside of my price range. Even with expedited shipping, Manic Panic was a bargain. It has solved my color-matching problems. Now I can buy any brand I choose and not have to sweat over whether the pale loveliness the counter mirror reflects will suddenly oxidize into an orangey, faux-tan mess as soon as the sunlight hits it. This mixes well with liquid foundations, does not irritate my sensitive skin, and does not mess with the consistency of the foundations because I only need a little bit. I have not tried it with whipped, foam, or any other non-traditional makeup formats. It does have a luminous finish. Dewy and brightening could also describe it well. Therefore, it does affect matte finish foundations. It doesn't turn, say, Revlon Colorstay into L'Oral Lumi or anything that dramatic. However, it takes away matte's ability to be truly matte. My dry skin benefits more from a dewy finish anyway, so straight-up matte is rarely my go-to. However, when I do want a more matte finish, I set my entire face with a pressed powder and the shine disappears almost entirely. And hey, I'd rather have a textural issue with my final look rather than have that dreaded pinky/nude ring between my face and my neck from ill-matching foundation. I cannot comment on how it compares to the astronomically-priced luxury brands. But since a product that costs less than lunch at a sub shop does the job just fine for me, I have no plan or desire to try other brands. I highly, highly recommend it to pale people needing something to pale-up even the palest of foundation shades. Also, I use this strictly as a mixer. I don't dress up as a vampire or clown, so I don't need to completely blank out my entire face. So, I cannot comment on its ability (or lack of) to work well in that area. Therefore, it does not affect my full-stars rating since I do not use it for that purpose.

Works well
finally my foundation matches my skin tone just wish it were more pigmented not so sheer the texture is a bit on the dry side

Does not blend well
I got this originally to lighten my foundation, as I have turned several shades lighter in the past year. It helped lighten my foundation a little bit, so I would only recommend using this product if you are a shade or two lighter currently than the foundation you are trying to correct. I did notice that the consistency of my foundation changed when I used this, but my original foundation was so blendable to begin with that I was still able to work with the foundation easily. Also, I was quite pleased that my sensitive skin did not break out. However, I am unsure if I received a dud after reading the other reviews, but the product that I received does NOT blend well. I attempted to wear this foundation alone for a Harley Quinn Halloween costume, it kept clumping/pilling and giving me a patchy covering regardless of what method I used including my fingers, a dense brush, and a damp beauty blender. I wrote up a quick summary of the pros and cons below: Pros: -Can lighten your foundation a shade (maybe two) -When used in small amounts, may not make a difference in your foundation's consistency -Decent price for a white foundation -Has not made my sensitive skin react Cons: -Does not blend well if used alone -May change the consistency of your foundation if you use too much -Don't recommend for lightening a product more than 2 shades

Perfect Pallor
I just got it in the mail so I'll update after longer use but I LOVE IT! There are a lot of comments about how it's too thin to use on it's own - this totally depends on what you are going for. This is definitely too thin if you are trying to achieve a total white face/clown makeup look. But if you are just trying to achieve a heightened pallor - this is perfect! It's thin enough to combine with other foundation but I just applied it alone and love the ghastly cast it puts over my face and neck. Honestly, it goes on better and smoother (didn't notice a lot of clumping/streaking on peach fuzz) than most drugstore foundations that I've used, so I'll probably just stick with it straight. I'm fair skinned anyway, but I would guess this would make people of many skin tones look pretty ashen while maintaining a casualness that you loose with thicker white paint. Corpse and Vampire costumes come to mind, I can see it being useful for a modern Harley Quinn at a party or another event where having thicker makeup will become annoying eventually. If you have pinkish hues, this really takes them down a few notches. I'm using it for a gothic Lolita look at a con, so I'll try to update with actual pictures and long-wearing experience.

Maybe mine was expired? Goes on splotchy, and hardly pale at all :(
I ordered this in hopes it could help give me coverage or at least be added to my foundations to make them paler. I already wear the lightest shade in Lancome (the lightest brand I could find). Point being, I'm already pale. When you open the product, you will notice instead of a brush or...nothing at all, it comes with a piece of plastic that I suppose you are supposed to take the makeup from. You would expect it to work like any other foundation...but it doesn't. It is really blotchy, and despite being cakey as heck, gives little coverage. My Lancome teint idole is supposed to be sheer as heck...but geeze, at least it doesnt make me look like a leper! I have tried putting it on with a brush, a two-sided pad, and with my fingers. The best way I have found to make it look at least look somewhat decent is to mix it in with my sunscreen. I would really like to have lighter foundation, so I will update if I find a way to make this stuff work, but for now...I cannot recommend this product alone. I will try a bb cream this time, like I had planned before. Unfortunate this product even made it to the market, but at least it is only $10. Despite being only $10, I hope this review can save someone else from wasting that money AND looking like a leper. Horrible product. The reviews stating the product looked great ON THEIR KIDS...No offense, but the parents probably need to wear some glasses. Seriously, this is the worst foundation I have ever tried in my life!

Great stuff
Pros: I mix this with my makeup because I am a porcelain lady and can’t ever find shades light enough to match me in stores (that don’t oxidize and subsequently darken afterwards) and it works like a charm. It’s got good coverage, it’s easy to use and it mixes well with my foundation. Cons: it’s very thick and if you use too much or don’t mix it well enough, you will paint yourself white as toilet paper and there’s not a dang thing you can do about it other than attempt to cover your mistakes with more foundation or start all over. It also dries out pretty quickly, with a bottle only lasting me about 6-9 months before it dries up (and I only used about half of the bottle). Overall I love the product and I’ve repurchased it several times, it just takes awhile to get used to using!

its an okay product..
This is going to be a lengthy review but I hope this helps in your decision of whether or not to buy this product. I first heard about this product through a youtube video and I got so excited because I thought I finally found something to help me with my foundation problems. The reviews I had seen basically led me to believe that this would correct the color of my foundation and it would help solve all of my makeup troubles. This honestly does help lighten my foundation and makes a perfect match for my skin tone. BUT, the texture of it feels like chalky paint. It rubs in okay but you have to blend it for a while for it to actually feel and look like regular foundation. The packaging was great and came with no problems but when I took the bottle out I noticed one part of the liquid looked like it was missing. It looked like the liquid had been dried up and when I first started trying to pump it out, it wouldn't come out. I unscrewed the lid and there was dry liquid in the tube. After a long battle of squeezing at the tube I finally got the liquid to come out the pump. Like I said earlier, this product does what it claims but I do believe it could have arrived in a better state. Also, a HUGE problem for me was that it took over two weeks for me to get this. I ordered this-along with a few other things-and it took about 3 days just for my order to paid for and processed. I have never had this happen before and the longest I have had to wait until processing was 1 business day. Also it took 9 days to get here after leaving the facility so it may take a while for your order to be processed and shipped.

**** I received the product this morning. This review will solely be based on a short test, not after a full day of wearing the makeup. The packaging was carefully made so the bottle wouldn't break. When you use it for the first time, you need to press the pump quite a lot of time for the product to actually come out. First delightful surprise: the foundation has no smell at all, which is really nice. The foundation isn't too liquid, more of a creamy texture, so you won't spill too much and it will probably last longer. The coverage is quite good. I tried it "raw", without mixing it with any other product. The first layer will lighten the skin, and I used 3 layers for a really white effect. As I am going to use it for cosplay, I might put in on top of a white bodypaint for a really deep white effect, but this product already looks really good. It doesn't feel oily on the skin and goes away easyly with makeup remover. Great product, I am really satisfied!

Ottimo
