These Australian native ladybird predators actively hunt and consume all life stages of mealybugs, lasting around 25 days and reproducing to sustain control. Ideal for large infestations in greenhouses and conservatories, they provide an eco-friendly alternative to pesticides when applied above 16°C. ## Description Product description Cryptolaemus montrouzieri adults were one of the first biological controls used by professionals for the control of citrus mealybug. These ladybirds are excellent killers of mealybugs in greenhouses, conservatories or heated areas. Native to Australia these little predators are highly regarded throughout the world for effective natural control of mealybugs on cactus, succulents and many other greenhouse plants. Use these predators when infestations are large or when mealybugs are found in colonies. Dragonfli expert Julian Ives advises applying Cryptolaemus adults at the following rate; Light infestation - 5 adults per square metre Heavy infestation – 10 adults per square metre Repeat applications may be required on heavy infestations, add more adults every 2 weeks until populations of Cryptolaemus can be observed on the plant. Around 2-3 weeks after application, given adequate levels of prey, Cryptolaemus larvae should be observed on the plants too. Legal Disclaimer Cryptolaemus is a living creature and can be affected by any chemical pesticides used within the previous few weeks. As a guide cease using pyrethrum or SB plant invigorator 2 days prior to use and other persistent chemicals or universal bug killers 1-2 weeks before using Cryptolaemus. ## Features - Adult Cryptolaemus kills entire mealybug life cycle including eggs, larvae and adults - Can be applied from temperatures above 16 degrees to control mealybug infestations - Adults will actively search for mealybug infestations within your greenhouse or heated environment and can be applied directly into pest colonies - Suitable to deal with large infestations of mealybug without the need for chemicals - Adults will last around 25 days and will also reproduce giving you a second introduction of Cryptolaemus larvae which also feed on mealybug ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07L8JDQDL | | Best Sellers Rank | 201,501 in Garden ( See Top 100 in Garden ) 1,325 in Indoor Multi-Insect Control | | Customer Reviews | 2.4 2.4 out of 5 stars (8) | | Date First Available | 10 Dec. 2018 | | Guaranteed software updates until | unknown | | Manufacturer | Dragonfli | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Dragonfli - **Item form:** Liquid - **Specification met:** USDA - **Target species:** Mealybug ## Images ![Mealybug Killer Predators - Cryptolaemus montrouzieri Adults Control Mealybug Indoors (25) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71XsAZgSucL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Frequently Bought Together - Dragonfli Mealybug Killer Predators - Cryptolaemus montrouzieri Adults Control Mealybug Indoors (25) - Spider Mite Killer - Amblyseius californicus Predators - Premium Foil Sachets (10 Sachets) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/128239018-mealybug-killer-predators-cryptolaemus-montrouzieri-adults-control-mealybug-indoors-25](https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/128239018-mealybug-killer-predators-cryptolaemus-montrouzieri-adults-control-mealybug-indoors-25) --- *Product available on Desertcart Panama* *Store origin: PA* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
