VOGUE PATTERNS V8346 Misses' Coat, Size A (6-8-10)

I don't do much sewing but I really wanted to make a coat for a cosplay, and this pattern was absolutely perfect. First item of clothing I've ever made, and I couldn't be happier. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, the pattern was straightforward and the results are everything I could have hoped for, really happy with it.

I got this pattern after seeing someone's fabulous coat online. She said she used this pattern. It will be my summer project after I figure out if my weight is going to go up or down this Spring! The woman had made her coat for a Victorian dress up, Steam Punk I think.

There isn't much to say. It is a pattern and if you know how to sew, you'll be just fine using it. Instructions are fairly clear. One thing to pay attention to is the sizes. Vogue sizes aren't clothes sizes. This one size 18-20-22 and corresponds to the following dimensions: Size 18 20 22 Bust 40 42 44 Waist 32 34 37 Hip 42 44 46

As an idependent fashion designer in New York City I get so busy. I usually make every single garment from scratch, that means from concept to muslin to paper pattern, but there are times I need a cheat sheet. I use commercial patterns as template to eliminate a few steps and save time. It's the perfect 'cheat sheet'.

El patrón está muy bien y he confeccionado un abrigo de paño que queda muy bien. Lleva bastante trabajo, pero yo soy novata. Puedes elegir diferentes largos y como lleva costuras princesa puedes modificar un poquito la prenda si lo necesitas tras hilvanarla, meter talle por ejemplo. De este tipo de patrones no me gusta que son sábanas de papel enormes y superfinas que se manejan fatal tanto si las usas tal cual, por el peligro de rasgarse con nada o si lo quieres calcar es un trabajo muy incómodo. Por el modelo lo volvería a comprar pero si puedo elegiré siempre otro tipo de patrones de papel más fuerte o para imprimir.
