Good quality - not a very good price

i lik jerky i dont have to gnaw on like a dog and this is the perfect choice. lil pricey but worth it

Every time I stop by a gas station or liquor store and see those jerky sticks sitting in those plastic bins near the cash register, I want to buy one. Occasionally I will buy one and every time I do, I totally regret it because they're old, dry and disgusting.I definitely do not regret buying a 3-pack of these though. It's not as spicy as I would've preferred, but it's got a mild kick and plenty of that saltiness you'd expect from beef pepperoni sticks.In each bag is a single row of jerky sticks, 9 of them. It seems to be sealed airtight, and there's a slight film of oil over the jerky (presumably to reduce contact with air). Not nearly as greasy as a Slim Jim though. Just wipe your fingers before typing on the keyboard again.Package says to consume within 3 days after opening or otherwise store the rest in the fridge.

I bought these as a stocking stuffer for in my husband's Tactical Stocking. There are three packages which are all vacuum sealed and able to be reclosed. I noticed others saying it didn't taste like pepperoni, which worried me a bit, but it tasted exactly like pepperoni and was pretty good in my opinion. I expect nothing less of Jack Links. To me they didn't have much spice to them, but I'm one of those people who loves spicy foods and have an iron stomach and taste buds. So the spice level wasn't off the charts for me, but if you are sensitive to spiciness, it might be a little too much.

Very spicy but if you like the taste

I compared these Jack Links beef snack sticks with the Wisconsin smoked sausages (Snack Sticks) in the tub the other Wisconsin beef sausages in the bag - they were similar yet different - the ones in the tub were tapered and sealed at the ends like proper linked sausages, they were more smokey than the bagged kind - those had straight cut ends, not tapered like links. Those also had a more acrid flavor than the tub packed linked type. Obviously I prefer the tub of smokey link like beef sausages. But both were acceptable, kielbasa textured and flavoured sausages. The Jack Links were on par with the tub variety of the Wisconsin smoked beef sausages. but again, all three were very kielbasa like beef sticks, and all three very edible protein snacks.

Boy, do the reviews on this product suck. It took me forever to actually decide on these things, so I swore to myself that I would actually help you guys out once I got them.Overall, these snacks are alright, but probably not something I'll order again. They definitely have a pepperoni flavor, so if you're expecting something else then you might want to look elsewhere. They're slightly on the tender side, and a bit oily. Nothing too horrible, but you're probably going to need to wipe your fingers after handling them. The texture is similar to a Slim Jim, but the flavor is very different. It tastes like natural spices, not like pepperoni "flavor" or something. There is a bit of an aftertaste that I don't particularly care for, but it's not bad enough to make me hate them. The casing is natural, so there's a bit of snap when you bite into them.These are a bit spicy. They're not going to melt your face off, but they're slightly spicy. After chewing for a couple of seconds, there's a small bite to them on your tongue, and then it goes away. Kind of like mild red pepper you would put on your pizza, but not much. I like the spiciness. I'm amazed when people complain about spiciness when they bought a "pepperoni" product. These are fine unless you're one of those heathens that can barely handle black pepper on your food.Overall, these are decent. I've definitely had better pepperoni, and I've had better jerky. Costco has some jerky links that have better flavor, in my opinion. Still, if you're craving some pepperoni snacks, these really aren't a bad option. You can get better pepperoni out there, but at least these are convenient.
