Great large duffel. Appears durable and hopefully will last as long as it looks like it should. Zippers work well.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Affordable duffle that we stuffed to the brim and holds up well! Love that it comes with a zippered case so that it can be stored away in a compact fashion.

I was looking for a large duffel bag to replace one my husband had for many years. His beloved old duffel bag had finally taken its last vacation to the lake and the zipper was just not salvageable.I began my search for the perfect duffel bag for his birthday to replace the unicorn bag we had to send to the big dumpster in the sky. My searching kept resulting in a Goldilocks situation - except it was a constant trend of every “XL duffel” bag was actually more proportional to a midget packing for the gym.After multiple returns for duffel bags clearly measured by a man whose interpretation of “Extra Large” is in the eye of the beholder, I finally found it. The one. The unicorn of modern day duffel bags. The bag that can fit my vacation clothes as well as my my husband’s, and maybe even stash a body if one needs such an item.Kids can use this as a hide and seek spot, forget hiring the movers - just throw it all in the bag!The size and girth were a smidge overwhelming initially and I had to adjust to handing such a large item, particularly when walking down hallways and getting through the door.This is one item that was true to its extra large claims! Not only can I bring all of my hunting gear layers, but I can probably fit my entire elk in there with it. Multifunctional and practical.My one and only critique is that I wish I had a tiny bit of structure on the bottom. All that fabric gets a little floppy and saggy. No one likes saggy bags.

I have decided to add additional comments to my last review. IF the zipper fail (see below) was the fault of the airport/airline, the failure of the bag's seams is not. The airline repaired the zipper mentioned below. However, on only the second time of using the bag, the bag's seams at one end failed. Clothes were in the main compartment and two pair of shoes (one kids and one ladies) were in the end that failed. No excuses. Very poor construction. Buyer beware. I have just taken this bag out to the trash can. (I am going to try to add pictures so that you can see with your own eyes.)Before buying most products I usually consult Amazon.com to see the user reviews. I noticed that this bag had a very good rating of 4.5. I noted the lower reviews and went with purchasing the bag. I do quite a bit of traveling and wanted a light weight but durable bag. I was pleased when I opened the packaging from Amazon. The bag "looked" good. I began to pack it. Like the reviewer which gave this product a 1 star, the liner between the main and side compartments ripped while I was packing the bag. I didn't have time to send back and reorder, so I pressed on packing. I went to the airport and checked the bag. When I got to my destination the bag was open, having had the zipper fail. It seems that both the zippers w/pulls were torn off. I understand that zippers can get caught in baggage reclaim machines/belts. However, I do A LOT of traveling, and this was the first time this has happened to a piece of my luggage. For that reason I have given the review score and I would not purchase this bag again, nor recommend it...if used as "luggage". Since I live overseas and the airline offered to repair the zipper, I will do that instead of returning.
